RE: Unexplained events?

Heck that toxic spray wouldn't stop the spread of anthrax just as it didn't stop the spread of the SARS virus, bird flu, or ordinary flu and so on.... It only targets very specific bacteria such as found on some animals. But the effects on humans directly inhaling as I did, can be extremely harmful neurologically.

RE: Unexplained events?

They haven't given up on anything, AA...The technology just becomes more and more sophisticated, is all.

Since when is any government truly concerned about its international travellers??...Do you know that the jets we travel in are sprayed with toxic chemicals without us knowing? They have become sneakier and less intrusive than when I travelled in 1982.

On arrival to Australia, we were asked to remain seated while men in anti-radiation style style suits/head gear came in and fumigated the entire aircraft. We didn't have masks and had not been warned of it coming. Within the hour, I suffered uncontrollable vomiting which required calling a doctor who gave me an injection to stop it...This toxic chemical can cause all manner of neurological damage. Now they simply spray the 'plane just before you get on and if it's been sprayed only a few hours earlier, it will be very much in the air, the seating etc for passengers to inhale!!

RE: How not to photo shop

Yes, crying your heart out as we type...Tell you what, if you'd consider change sides for a while, there are lots I can send your way. Let me know.laugh

RE: Bizzare Dates

I wonder what mood he was trying to set up...sounds like he wasn't too sure.laugh

RE: Unexplained events?

Of-course. I'm referring to stuff that is hidden from most defence personnel as well. I'm talking germ warfare stuff and the rest.

RE: Unexplained events?

I was just curious. It makes sense as to the location as it would be surrounded by desert(I think).

Our base here at Edinburgh is top, top secret in terms of some of the things actually conducted. I used to work with someone who was an ex-employee there. Of-course he didn't tell me anything confidential or he would have to shoot melaugh...but he did say that we would shudder if we knew some of the things they stocked/tested there...

RE: Unexplained events?

Well, I can't find that particular event I mentioned on any online official list of Defence dept ufo sightings. Yet the Air Force was definitely involved in investigating it. Odd.

Just curious...Which part of the US is area 51 meant to be situated?

RE: Unexplained events?

That's different if going at slow speed.

I think it's the speeds which not even Defence departments can explain, which sets these other occurrences apart.

That would be cool to have a piece of meteorite....Lucky it was only tiny.

RE: Unexplained events?

That region is the perfect place being the middle of the desert. I did some contract work there on and off around 2002.

I think we have enough evidence of other intelligent life, especially since the discovery of at least one other galaxy as well as recent undecipherable communications from outer space...I just wish some of them would drop in and say g'day, though I doubt they would want to touch us earthlings with a barge pole.

RE: How not to photo shop

How disappointing, Phoenix.

I think if the poor thing MUST have a fake profile, 'she' really should seek the advice of a professional...plenty on here, in all shapes and sizes.laugh

RE: Unexplained events?

RE: Unexplained events?

Haven't a clue, AA...

Another unexplained event occurred here in Adelaide, SA probably about 12 or so years ago, could be a few more or less...

A perfect summer evening, stars were out in the night sky, and my brother and I were talking in my parents' back yard late that night. Suddenly we became aware of a bright object at the far end of the horizon and was travelling at a such a speed that it crossed the skies in seconds. The fastest jets couldn't do that. We were dumbstruck.

The next morning to our surprise, it not only got a mention on the news, but the news reported that the Defence Department had immediately dispatched air force jets to investigate. The outcome was that they could not identify the object. They simply had no idea what it was as it matched object known to them...It was the last we ever heard of it. I'm still surprised that the Air Force made such a public admission.

RE: Did 3000 people really die on 9/11

I couldn't hear the first video well as it kept cracking, but enough to get the jist of it. Alarming stuff, Phoenix...that and the video that followed. Not a surprise that such conduct occurs with the FBI and CIA, but the level of detail makes these organisations as well as the US and UK governments, especially gruesome. Of-course we all do know that it is never the actual government which actually pulls the strings.

Thanks for posting these. They should be continually splashed across major newspapers and doco programs to keep such things at the forefront of people's minds.JMO

How so?...Does it mean one should keep quiet and not complain even in the face of potential injustice, whether it be towards an individual or a government, just so you don't cut off incoming revenue?

(I won't question the spin and talk)

RE: Do women love lies?

Are you sure these women are not simply humoring you? giggle

Flirting, as people do here on CS all the time, is not something anyone takes seriously. This means anything goes and anything is acceptable.

Why would the man who is flirting, assume that the woman thinks it is anything more than that. Flirting is not about professing undying love, now is it?...kiss heart wings lips teddybear smitten

"You don't own the minerals, I don't own the minerals," she told a mining industry dinner on Wednesday night. "They own it and they deserve their share." says our PM to the mining industry.

Makes sense..dunno

RE: Tony Abbott, is he mad?????

I'm not a supporter of the man, yet I still cringe and feel embarrassed on behalf of those who do, when he says such stupid things, which amount to absolute nonesense, sometimes akin to children's nonesense rhymes.uh oh

Just for Gina- because she deserves it!

btw, nice to see you again revealer wave

Just for Gina- because she deserves it!

Of-course those amounts that you quote are not massive. I refer to amounts received for 3-5 children, where given the choice between going to work and staying home, to earn about the same amount, I have personally known many who choose to stay at home. We haven't earned the term 'welfare mentality' for nothing yanno. I'm not hre to make blanket statements, so of-course there are many exceptions.

It will be interesting to see how these latest efforts to fill the 1700 mining positions with Aussie talent, will reveal.

In answer to your question, could I live on $200.00...No, I cannot.(I could in Italy)... Which is why I am in a pickle now from being a part-time student. Chasing work like crazy now...Might even get my truck licence and head for Gina country!wow

Just for Gina- because she deserves it!

That's nothing, for the financial rewards to help their young families prosper.

Migrants would have loved that option, when in the mid to late 50's qualified tradesmen and professionals were given zip, and for their troubles, sent out to word on desert rail yards for peanuts.

Many people today want the rewards without the effort. They forget there is always a cost. And the cost these days is pittance to yesterday, when many families were kept apart for 2 years and more. I'm sure we all know real people with real stories.

RE: The Spirit Stone (An Adventure Story)

That's great, Acdcrock, keep it up. Broaden the range of fantasy books and just keep reading. The grammatical stuff goes without saying, but you have a lot of ground work to do before even worrying about that. Keep writing, as the editing with all it brings will come much later.
Certainly you will need to address that side of your writing, but lots and lots of reading will go a long way to alerting you to that. Also get yourself something like the 'Oxford Style Manual'. A must. Also the latest Oxford dictionary and thesaurus.

One other thing, promise your auntie Ven that you will never, ever, ever, become so bitter and twisted as one or two of the 'grown-ups' on this thread. doh laugh
