RE: THE President Actually! Preisdent Obama or President Romney?

You know that's not true either Dude. I've been a registered independent most of my life and only switched to republican a few months ago in order to vote in the primaries.

Just because I can see what an evil influence Obama is, does not make me a stipid, died-in-the-wool republican.

You just can't stand that not everyone is wearing blinders to the fallicy that is the Obama myth.

We had our big neighborhood Hallowen fest last night so I'm feeling festive.

I agree with you... the unions now spend far more time taking care of themselves than looking out for the best interest of the children

RE: THE President Actually! Preisdent Obama or President Romney?

You should be careful here, Dude. We just finished discussing how Government Motors is outsourcing to China, and how under Obama they did just like Bain would do and shuttered 2000 dealerships in the course of "restructuring."

Pot meet kettle! tongue

RE: THE President Actually! Preisdent Obama or President Romney?

Morning R-Man wave

Years ago, I was asked to write an article on the tax credits for education back when it was on the ballot here in south Florida. During the research, it came to light that (at the time), the average cost for private school tuition national was $5,000 - which ALSO was the average national cost to educate a public school child.

So the question looms.... What are the private schools doing differently? It has to boil down to accountability. Teachers unions and government regulation???

RE: OMG ladies, isit true ?!!!!!

I'm neutral. Little Miss Switzerland. laugh laugh

Personally, I don't take any offense to queries like this and there is probably a little bit of truth to all of the options listed above.

But I suspect others might feel different?

RE: THE President Actually! Preisdent Obama or President Romney?

It's funny, but the democrats never find outsourcing an acceptable fact of life when they are bit##ing about republicans - yet when they or the government do it, things just get swept under the rug.

We really need to do something about our biased media. sigh

Bye Tomcat.. wave

RE: THE President Actually! Preisdent Obama or President Romney?

Sorry. That was from the Wall St. Journal

RE: THE President Actually! Preisdent Obama or President Romney?

The government's authority over GM today isn't concentrated in the 500 million shares it still owns, which amount to a hefty but not controlling 26.5% ownership stake.

Rather, Washington's power comes from the management apparatus of TARP, the Troubled Asset Relief Program, from which the $50 billion bailout originally came.

TARP is funded by taxpayers, so there are many rules about how that money can and can't be used. The result: GM spends an awful lot of time checking in with the people who administer TARP over everything from hiring to executive compensation and management. For a global company, that adds up to a lot of distraction.

RE: THE President Actually! Preisdent Obama or President Romney?

Well of course he would say that, but the facts speak otherwise. And if they are shipping their huge research endeavors, or other jobs, overseas, whereis the government Oversight that Obama promised? It was the government that told them to close 2000 car dealerships in the course of their "restructuring," along with all sorts of lay-offs of all the non-union jobs.

Seriously? Are there many such tunnels that you know of?? Is this a common thing? (It is here, by the way. We find them all the time on the Mexican border).

RE: THE President Actually! Preisdent Obama or President Romney?

From Bloomberg

"Like a restless suitor eager to move on, General Motors Co. (GM) wants to end its four-year relationship with the U.S. government. Washington, to its credit, has no intention of playing the chump.

GM, bailed out with $50 billion from the Troubled Asset Relief Program, wants the U.S. Treasury to sell its remaining 26.5 percent stake quickly, even if that means taking a huge loss. The unnecessary oversight and intervention that comes with its “Government Motors” status, GM argues, is holding the company back.

Bailouts aren’t free -- for either side -- a point worth highlighting as critics continue to beat up on the Treasury for not extracting more pain from the banks and companies it rescued. GM’s fitful relationship with its government overseers should help deter the poor decision-making that landed companies at Washington’s doorstep.

RE: THE President Actually! Preisdent Obama or President Romney?

Not any more.

RE: Obama or Romney for President: simple vote here. one vote only. ;-}

Now that would be hilarious!!! I think Romney would not hesitate to ask her if he felt she was the right person for the job. And what a fitting "screw you" to her current boss!

RE: THE President Actually! Preisdent Obama or President Romney?

I suspect that he personally does not want another term, but his handlers are pushing him. They have invested millions into propping him up and getting him into the presidency and so the big push, whether he likes it or not.

The other huge factor is that he has a really terrible record now, unlike 2008. It's pretty hard to defend the indefensible and I'm sure he's getting tired of it.

In fact, I heard a woman the other day telling him that "I'm tired of having to defend you.".... I'm sure she is not alone.

Clinton asked for more security in Benghazi, Obama said no

Last night, it was revealed that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had ordered more security at the U.S. mission in Benghazi before it was attacked where four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens were murdered by Al-Qaeda but President Obama denied the request.

The news broke on TheBlazeTV’s “Wilkow!” hosted by Andrew Wilkow, by best-selling author, Ed Klein who said the legal counsel to Clinton had informed him of this information.

Klein also said that those same sources said that former President Bill Clinton has been “urging” his wife to release official State Department documents that prove she called for additional security at the compound in Libya, which would almost certainly result in President Obama losing the election.

Morning Ttom.

Did you see the Ed Klein interview about Hillary having documents to prove she asked for assistance for the Libyan mess and Obama turned her down? If not, I'll send you the interview link.

RE: Obama or Romney for President: simple vote here. one vote only. ;-}

Did you know that 90 percent of the Bush stimulus has been repaid, whereas on 10 percent of the Obama stimulus has been repaid?

Obama did not inherit all of the deficit. He created more all by his lonesomes.

Moreover, the democrats had the majority in the house and senate for a full 15 months before the crisis occurred. They want you to forget about Barney Frank and their House Ways and Means which contributed almost exclusively to the housing crisis.

RE: Obama or Romney for President: simple vote here. one vote only. ;-}

Not really. When you consider that your media info is guided by Soros and our Soros-backed media, international views are unnecessarily colored. Moreover, they skew these poll votes as a result.

RE: Obama or Romney for President: simple vote here. one vote only. ;-}

Here's a sample...

"It's been 40 years since the Des Moines Register has endorsed a Republican, so this one makes news. The last time was preceding Nixon's re-election against George McGovern.

In a lengthy commentary focused on Romney's managerial chops, his economic vision, and his ability to reach across the aisle, the paper concluded, "Voters should give Mitt Romney a chance to correct the nation’s fiscal course and to implode the partisan gridlock that has shackled Washington and the rest of America — with the understanding that he would face the same assessment in four years if he does not succeed."

RE: Obama or Romney for President: simple vote here. one vote only. ;-}

Hi Nikogas. I know you won't consider my opinion valid since you already know I'm a Romney supporter, but what about those who supported Obama in the past who are NOW endorsing Romney???

This week alone the Detroit News, the Florida Sun Sentinal, and the Des Moine Register all came out in support of Romney when they were big supporters of Obama in 2008. The overall consensus is that he did not deliver on his promises and we are worse because of it - and they now think Romney's better prepared to lead.

Does that tell you anything?

RE: THE President Actually! Preisdent Obama or President Romney?

How the GM Bailout turned into Foreign Aid...

RE: THE President Actually! Preisdent Obama or President Romney?

Look again, Dude...

We need to look no further than General Motors’ own figures to learn that GM outsources almost two thirds of its jobs overseas. Less than one in five GM vehicles are manufactured in the United States.

To be exact: GM’s December 31, 2011 annual report shows General Motors of North America accounting for 98,000 of the 207,000 GM jobs worldwide. But 12,000 of these jobs are in Canada and 11,500 are in Mexico. Accordingly, GM has 74,500 jobs in the United States and 122,500 abroad, even after Obama’s touted surge in Detroit jobs. Almost two thirds of GM’s jobs are in other countries.

GM’s outsourcing is not a slip. GM clearly states that foreign investment and outsourcing of jobs are an integral parts of its growth strategy.

RE: THE President Actually! Preisdent Obama or President Romney?

Did Obama overrule Hillary Clinton's request for security in advance of the Libya attack before throwing her under the bus???

RE: THE President Actually! Preisdent Obama or President Romney?

Even funnier, the DNC required everyone provide a valid photo ID before being allowed to enter the convention! laugh laugh I guess double standards are still alive and well!

"Democrats have railed against voter ID laws, and their platform “opposes laws that place unnecessary restrictions” on those seeking to vote, but Democratic National Convention officials will only issue credentials to those who present state-issued IDs.

The DNC’s website says that “all pickup persons must have a state-issued ID that matches the name submitted” to receive credentials. Media members attending the DNC have to present photo IDs at multiple checkpoints.

But even as Democrats require IDs to enter their convention and The Voter Integrity Project discovered there were 30,000 dead North Carolinians still on the state’s voter rolls, Democrats continue to fiercely oppose voter ID laws."
