RE: The Declaration of Independence

Lucky you!!! cheering

RE: The Declaration of Independence

Yes. Well, prior to the Revolutionary War, we weren't Americans but "subjects" of the Crown. The Declaration of Independence was the beginning of when we broke off from them.

RE: The Declaration of Independence

Now it is my turn to ask you... what is "staunch kai?" All I can find is that kai is traditional Maori food? Is is also an expression for something else?

RE: The Declaration of Independence

The British. The Revolutionary War was fought to break away from them.

Love New Zealand, by the way! Very friendly people. Even if many don't care of America as a whole, the people there are very fun and welcoming. thumbs up And we wish we could have your immigration policies, which are smart and simple. Sadly, if we tried them here, people would scream like banshees. sigh

RE: The Declaration of Independence

What can I say? As a proud Daughter of the Revolution, our family tree is loaded with American history dating all the way back to the beginning. We've got everything from Blue Bloods to Rednecks to one US president and many ancestors who spilled their blood for this great country. None of us could give a Tinker's Damn about what our former relatives across the pond have to say about our culture. After all, we fought and died to get away from them. cheering

RE: Man or woman,Up in a pedestal.

What's the point of having a partner if you can't appreciate, admire and love them very much? dunno
Count me as an "Affirmative!"

RE: Man or woman,Up in a pedestal.

I wasn't fishing for compliments, but thank you just the same. blushing I was referring to hanging out at Mar-A-Lago, which I'm sure you know is President Trump's club in Palm Beach. I know how much you like him. laugh

RE: The Declaration of Independence

You're very welcome. It is a favorite holiday here which is filled with friends and family and all sorts of celebrations. There is a tremendous amount of gratitude and a lot of good, old fashioned American Patriotism.

RE: The Declaration of Independence

Except Rednecks have no tolerance for pretentious snobs. They would probably spray paint a bulls-eye on his tighty whities and use him for target practice. grin

RE: The Declaration of Independence

It's the anniversary of our "Declaration of Independence" from Great Britain in 1776, and quite literally the beginning of the country as it is today

RE: dooms day .... which known listed threat can and should be resolved first?

I can definitely see how you would feel that way! There seems to be no difference in today's definition of "progress" and "regress." sad flower

RE: weight loss

Oh my... I bet your mother was worried you would turn into Jeffrey Dahmer. laugh laugh

RE: weight loss

It wouldn't surprise me. It's probably fine if you actually follow directions, but lots of people overdo it thinking it will work faster. All I know is the idea of drinking vinegar is a lot less appealing than just eating less. uh oh

RE: weight loss

I don't know if it works, but think I would just rather EAT LESS than drink vinegar. laugh

RE: dooms day .... which known listed threat can and should be resolved first?

Awww. Keep the faith, chatonly. comfort There is a lot of strength and goodness still left in all of us. Don't let the dirty bat rastards get you down. bouquet

RE: dooms day .... which known listed threat can and should be resolved first?

I couldn't see it either. Everywhere I went during the election, all I saw were Trump signs and bumper stickers. None for Hillary and few few for Bernie. Too bad you could not have been here to attend one of his rallies! You would probably have loved that.

OK... hijack over. peace

RE: dooms day .... which known listed threat can and should be resolved first?

RE: Man or woman,Up in a pedestal.

Hi you. I would definitely put someone on a pedestal, if that's what you mean. Why have someone in your life if you don't adore them? smitten

I posted the Mar-A-Lago pic just to make you doh
