It's a combination of people and place. I have lived in a couple of diferent places and it really depends upon how comfortable I am w/ my surroundings.
Actually, it's due to cooking a large turkey dinner one year - all by myself, and the only people who was truely greatful were my mother, step father and brother. The other few people were overly critical and none of them can cook worth a damn.
This was quit a few years ago and ever time we have one of thse people over, there is always a picky little comment they feel they hvae to make. So this year, they get the bare minimum and if they don't like it they can stuff it! Because I will be doing something I want to do.
Hope you all have a happy turkey day. I am NOT having turkey this year, because it is toooooo much work, and I haven't been in the turkey spirit for three years now. Kind of a party pooper, sorry.
But I do truely hope everyone else has a fantastic turkey day.
When marrying, ask yourself this question: Do you believe that you will be able to converse well with this person into your old age? Everything else in marriage is transitory. ~Friedrich Nietzsche
I live in a small town, so that idea would be kind of creepy. I mean half of those guys knew me when I was . . . .like. . . . . two months. That could be really, really, really wierd.
Someone who listens w/o judgement. Willing to accept your oddities and flaws, and quit okay when you notice their's. Doesn't jump to random conclusions basid upon other's stories - aka hear say!
More or less, that's what I think, though I'd like to add: Not a flake (sticks to lunch dates and stuff) Not overly dramatic all the time.
I have seen and experienced these in a few people. I stinks when you like someone for their personality, but then realize you just can't depend upon them to show up @ the coffee shop or even call if they are going to be late.
Being a "big" girl w/ extra skin and all . . . I'd go under that knife for someone who needed a skin graft or something like that.
As it is, I am having a hard time going in to donate plasma, because I am affraid of needles. But I have decided I will donate before the end of the year - at least twice.
Such things are poison to a person, both for their mental and physical state. Get out of that situation or seek professional help if you are not sure what exactly to do. Good luck.
