Cobain was unique like so many other artist that died young. He made a large contribution to the music industry, so I totally agree.
There are those that just seem to pop up out of no where. I think now, at this time those people are in the Indie rock and folk generas are starting to come out with some pretty awsome stuff. Nothing truely mind blowing and new, but good stuff.
I like Marilyn Manson, but I know my mom would not. I edit my music selections around her where i know there are groups or topics that would just put her off.
It's really good. Though I guess I wouldn't call it grunge, though this is just me being picky. I hear this sound as being more psychedelic country with a twist. As if Niel Young was creating his own genera all together.
I try my best to introduce her to new stuff. She loves it. We go back an forth that way, because there are some groups that she just loves that i never heard of until she pulled them out recently.
They weren't really for me, but I could see why she loved them so much.
Nirvana is credited w/ creating the grunge "movement". Though i think Neil Young is someone that artists and fans look up too and truely appreciate. I wouldn't just use his music for back ground noise, you need to enjoy listening to it.
I played Flute. I was okay, but not something I truely loved doing. I actually developed some back and shoulder problems from playing and studying so much.
I turned out to be more of a book worm. Something she is very cool with and proud of.
Yeah yeah, as a matter of fact, the first concert she took me to was Three Dog Night in Lewiston, ID. I was 12 yrs old. And I guess one of the members was no longer with the group. I was still the best show I have seen.
Those groups from back in the day know how to put on a show. Some of the more current artist could take a few lessons from them.
I believe in reincarnation. There are those people in the world that have that feel about them. Like they've been here before. My mom has said that I had the eyes of an old soul when I was born. And apparently my personality proved it to her, I was a patient and easy child to raise according to her.
I am not sure what Easter brings to my mind. We are always so saturated w/ images of candy and bunnies and stuff during holidays. But what I think of the most and grieve for were those Easter dinners w/ my grandparents, it was an event which focused around the family, as most of our holidays did.
She has a pretty eclectic taste. She really digs alternitive music and classical. She had grand dreams of me being in an orchestra. . . that never happened though.
The originals are aways better, especially for those people who were fortunate enough to be born during a time when remakes and sampling wasn't so big.
Mom and i are trying to get my brother into some of those classics that are truely timeless.
lol, not too sure about Marilyn Manson, though I am certain that the name would totally mak her mad. She associates him w/ Charles Manson and she's old enough to remember that trial.
iPod, computer, MP3 player, in your cd player . . . .what ever? I have been fixing up my iPod and my mom's new iPod. Just snooping for ideas or suggestions.
I know what she likes, but there may be something I forgot.
Most people who are on here are pretty good at writing in english. There are only a few that I have seen that are a little hard to understand, but it's great that they try. It's the only way to improve.
RE: artists, songs that will NEVER be covered better.
