It's really interesting when one of them has a bunch of soundtracks on their iPOD. . . . imagine typing out an email to the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack.
You start really pounding on the kerboard. Like what your typing is a matter of life or death. Kind of funny watching people pause as they come into the shoppe and look at the ceiling, as to say "what the hell?"
Could be. I mean I know that when boys turn 18 they are required to signup or enlist or what have you, because we've discussed it w/ my brother - still only 16 thankfully.
But I still dought they would take someone not yet out of school. I mean w/ all the issues w/ Americans being under educated and all. Doesn't make much sense to expect students to buckle down and study more and harder, but hand those that pass the physical a gun to go to war. Silly really.
Must be 18. But don't know many places that would take you straight out of school. Some will go through training while in school. I have heard of that.
I am kind of in the same place. Some of the people I have met and built a friendship w/ are now in relationships and don't come onto the site any more. It is a bit lonely w/o them here to chat w/ every now and then. However, I am quit glad that have found someone to share their lives with.
I bow out at times because it seems as if I am not fitting into other people's agendas or the site becomes a bit stagnet after a fashion. Taking a break some times helps. Read a couple of books and then come back w/ something to talk about.
That's what I have done and observed anyways. Don't know about other people.
I have heard of some that have worked out just fine. But I know of quit a few that didn't work out so well. I know that I would need someone near by, because I am not big about talking on the phone and I some times refuse to go onto the internet. Only because I need to go into town to get on the computer.
Hmmmm, I'd like to actually take a vacation where I leave the area for once. I generally just end up sitting around w/ the parentals and doing spring cleaning or something. Kind of borring really. But this year, maybe a "road trip". I would love to visit Canada again, if I can. That would be nice.
Another goal . . . . get rid of some of my debt. Can't get rid of it all. Would need to win the lotto for that one.
hmmmmmmm, I know that for me, I live just outside of town and end up driving everywhere. Walking can be pretty scary, unless it is during the day in the summer time.
I also lived a poor and "food deprived" childhood. I don't remember much of it, but I do remember that every ounce of food count. So what was on your plate must be eaten or you got in trouble for wasting food. That concept has stuck w/ me. It's hard to just stop when I know I have had enough.
I have started eating smaller amounts. Or if I have more the I need . . . I share w/ my dog. It helps. Now I just need to get into the gym.
responded w/ lama answer. Clinton "smoked" and I am sure other presidents had their vices or silly moments when they were younger. If you poke around in peoples closets looking for the negative you'll never see the positive. Just a thought.
FYI - my dad is the biggest drama "queen" I have ever met. He takes longer to get ready and out the door then I do. And he cares far too much about little stuff that doesn't matter much.
One of my good friends . . . a Guy! Has 20X the number of shoes and hair care products then I do.
A co-worker . . . big looking fella, lifts weights and all, can't pop a blister w/o whimpering. I have no problem w/ such a thing, cause I want it to heal, not bug the heck out of me.
Question: If women are so stuck in their heads and little worlds, how come these guys are more neuratic then I? No blame the be fixed on one person. Humans are Idiots because we all have our little moments where we are stuck in our own little worlds.
A professor of mine once said that all humans (every single one of us) are self absorbed. I believe this. Listen to other people's conversations, or watch a moment of "reality" TV. People are so intent upon themselves in their little worlds because . . . well, they live in them. Can't know what they do or say next door cause you aren't there, just a fact that people CAN recognize what it might be like for others is awsome, and something we shoudl all be given credit for.
RE: Man run over by a dog in car!
Silly, just plan silly . . .
