-am also addicted to chocolate (Ha, -am injecting some HagenDaz intravenously as i type here!), which also contains 'theobromine' -said to be somewhat like caffeine in that they are related 'alkaloids' (theobromine being weaker in both its inhibition of cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases and its antagonism of adenosine receptors); -therefore, theobromine has a lesser impact on a person's central nervous-system than dreaded caffeine. However, theobromine actually stimulates the heart to a greater degree, and while theobromine is not as addictive, it has been cited (by Diane) as possibly what is causing my craving for chocolate. Theobromine has also been identified a prime compound contributing to chocolate's reputed role as an aphrodisiac (-better watch out Diane)!!!

As a myocardial stimulant, as well as a vasodilator, it increases heartbeat, while also appropriately dilating blood-vessels, thus actually causing- 'reduced blood-pressure'. However, a recent paper published suggested that the decrease in BP may be caused by flavanols. Furthermore, its draining effect allows it to be used to treat cardiac-failure when caused by an excessive accumulation of fluid.

A 2004 study by ImperialCollege/London concluded that theobromine has an antitussive (cough-reducing) effect actually superior to codeine, -by suppressing vagus-nerve activity. In the study, theobromine significantly increased the capsaicin concentration required to induce coughs when compared with a placebo. Additionally, theobromine is found to even be helpful in treating asthma (-which i've never had), since it relaxes the smooth-muscles, including the ones found in the bronchi.

A 1986 Utah study showed a possible association between theobromine and an increased risk of suffering from prostate-cancer in older men; --however the Zionist-controlled thus primitive-minded AMA does not want You to know that prostrate-problems are totally preventable/cured by simply taking the diatary-supplement: Choline'Bitartrate w/Betaine-HCL (available via internet at ), -which also great for cognitive-functions, boosts the libido (-Diane! ), helps metabolize-fat and maintain a healthy cholesterol level!

Theobromine can cause sleeplessness, tremors, restlessness, anxiety, as well as increased urination. Additional side effects include loss of appetite, and possible nausea. Nevertheless, the amount of theobromine found in Chocolate is small enough that it can be safely consumed by humans, ---but animals metabolizing theobromine more slowly, such as DOGS, can succumb to so-called- "theobromine-poisoning" from as little as 50-grams of chocolate (for a smaller dog) and 400gr.(large Hershey-bar) for an average-sized K9. The same risk is reported for cats as well, although having no sweet-tastebuds, cats seen less likely to ingest sweet foods. Complications include digestive issues, dehydration, excitability, and a slow heart-rate; while advance stages of theobromine-toxicity include epileptic-like seizures toward death. If caught early on, theobromine-poisoning of a dog is treatable; -and i have known people that regularly gave their dog treats of chocolate, whilst living to a ripe old age; --so maybe it varies with the breed? Although not usual, the effects of theobromine poisoning can become fatal; --what a delicious way to go...!!!

Number-one, stop ingesting anything which is deleterious to your body/mind functions (eg: -smoking/alcohol/drugs/raucous-music,etc.), --you need to immediately get out and force yourself into long brisk walks, which stimulates your system naturally and properly! --this is VITAL TO YOUR RECOVERY from your blue-funk! Then, go to the Dog-shelter and find yourself a loyal-pal (-not a Pitbull, -but a socially genetically well-adjusted dog like a Shepard, Golden-retriever, Labrador, etc.) -and give'em a name which has good positive-vibes for you! Study-up intently here on the internet and at a good nutritional-supplement shoppe for those righteous substances (vitamins/minerals/herbs/foods etc.) which are Gods natural-resource pathway to your eventual miraculous total-recovery. Just like it will take time for you to 'bond' with a k9-buddy, --it will take time for you to get a grip on your emotional-depression, --but have faith in knowing that this remaking of your psyche is absolutely possible, and by the mere act of your reaching-out here, demonstrates that you know deep within you that there is indeed a way out of your mental-quagmire... Let your self smell the roses...

This is heart-wrenching, we are all so very sorry that you are having such a difficult time sweetie, those canines of yours are absolutely precious, and with due diligence you will definitely find loving appreciative home(s) for them together (ideally) or individually. Here in SanDiego we are so very fortunate in having a unique dog-shelter which is permanently-sponsored by the late loving Mrs.RayKroc (yes, the 'hamburger-queen' heirs). The lavish place is part of the HunaneSociety/Dog-pound, -but they evaluate each dog for sociability, and dogs like your would pass with flying-colors and have a home for life! However, that's here, and you're elsewhere, --so am thinking that if you place a free-Ad on the ubiquitous [ www.craigslist.org ] under 'community' then under 'pets', that you will find a great home(s). Caution: -absolutely do NOT say the dog(s) are free to a good home; --sadly there are some vile people out there that will harm animals! Instead, merely charge something like say $20/ea, --believe me, if they are sincere they will readily come through for you (be sure to include their pictures); -then if you are totally convinced the prospective new-owner is right for your pet(s), then you can if you wish hand them back the $ they eagerly offer you...
