We don't need an explanation about what happens to the actual body itself after death because this is well understood already as nature, it decays and rots, goes through the process of disappearing by insects and exposure to weather, corrosion, decay etc. Not dissimilar to any animal, creature, but we tend to bury or have some other process depending on the culture, including event/ceremony, for our deceased.
