RE: How long is bad customer service going to last?

The second you hear or see the words such as "Your call is important to us", you know you're in trouble. If my call or question is so important, try staffing up accordingly! And I don't care whether you're a gov't. agency or a for-profit business, get on with it! And fix your websites that your IT people INSISTED had to be mobile-capable even though many people still use desktops and laptops, but "it'll be cheaper to do it for all mobile users".

I won't even ask store staff for help in U.S. retail stores; near me outside Chicago they are understaffed and overworked as it is. Today I had a big-box employee warn me that a display was so disorganized and unstocked that the item I pick might not even be on the right hook (small hardware items), so I'd also see the wrong price. I thanked her and asked what miracles management expected her and her fellow employees to do today, being understaffed and the department she was was in not even having time to get everything done. She just kind of shook her head, grimaced, and said "You know it!".

Gov't agencies are so much of a gamble as well, but sometimes they also are way understaffed against their workload, not always trained properly due to understaffing, and some just could care less as long as they get paid. They don't want to give out wrong information fearing discipline, so they'd rather not tell you anything. A buddy just had a miracle worker at a motor vehicle services department; actually was very helpful and got his problems solved in one trip. But the US Postal Service recently said it left Certified Mail notices it never left; I complained to the USPS. I told the woman I spoke to I didn't want people disciplined for honest errors, and maybe the letter carrier of the day (we get whoever shows up) didn't even have the notice forms with them. Sure they should have them, but the real world gets in the way of the Postal Manual sometimes. At least the final notice got to me, I got the mailpiece....but Cliff Clavin of 'Cheers' postal fame would never have stood for such a mess.

RE: Is Canada dying ?

Well, it's not dying, but it is on fire rather a bit these days.
And the liberals have to figure out there's no free money to do all their miracles.

The odds of me being with said Cheerleader or Goth is so remote I couldn't possibly answer this poll.

RE: When did you last iron?

Had the iron out several months ago to set an iron-on patch on a pair of jeans. But that's after a several-year period of no ironing, and wondering why I even kept my iron. Also used the steam setting to steam something for a project. Just call me MacGyver.
Used to iron my uniform shirts to freshen the creases, then went to sewn-in. But even sewn-in occasionally needed a light ironing to get rid of stray wrinkles between the creases.
I once accidentally set my dryer wrong; had to take the shirts to the cleaners after the terrible wrinkles laughed at my ironing attempts. It looked like I slept in my clothes! doh

RE: What digital device do you usually use while logged in and accessing CS?.

Oh, look at you all 'techy' and such there!
I've got a Commodore VIC-20 and I think it had a dial-up modem with it; got it used from a friend long ago. I still have an analog phone line, so I can fax as well! I'm so cool the women are gonna be lining up to hang with me like it's 1989!
Now all I need is an adapter for the RF modulator to use a digital tv or monitor, or some kind of video convertor box, and I'm back in the good old days of BASIC, and a whopping 170KB 5 and 1/4 inch floppy disk.

(Slightly more seriously here, the Linux-based software for the first recreated Commodore 64's is still available for download; even has a C-64 emulation mode. I grew up in the era of the home computer's heyday. But here's a video you might like from the now-closed-down company)(tears up a bit; sniffles; RIP Commodore, Texas Instruments, Atari, Colecovision ADAM, Franklin Computers, Vendex, Mattel Intellivision Aquarius, etc.)

So when do we start IQ testing people that wish to birth and raise human children?? I mean, fair's fair.

RE: Should dogs live in apartments?

Propaganda. A gun in the home is safer than a dog. The dog can attack anyone on its own volition, a gun will just sit there until someone picks it up.

RE: Should dogs live in apartments?

Well, they might want to look into buying their own homes, instead of renting.....
...
Wait...you meant should their owners live in apartments?!
....
Err....nevermind!

RE: saddest song ever

"The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot springs to mind, telling the tale of a Great Lake iron ore boat sunk with all hands perishing in a November gale on Lake Superior on Nov. 10, 1975. Although Lightfoot took some 'artistic license' to tell the tale, it remains one of the most famous songs of his.

RE: most foolish thin you done?

I believed in finding romantic love. I should just get a shelter dog instead; even some of the women's dogs were more loving and loyal than the owner.

RE: The end of the world...

I've already volunteered to pilot the spacecraft to take on whatever is coming inbound. I always wanted to be an astronaut, and I'm expendable. Just get me up there, NASA, and I'll do the rest. Keep the other astronauts as a backup plan. Defender I is go for launch. Science. Technology. Courage. For All Mankind.

Are you a female Tsundere??

Sometimes awareness comes slowly. laugh

I'm just glad I'm a male who is not Tsundere for females; everybody in a one-mile radius knows if I like a woman....except the woman. But I sometimes wonder if I didn't have a near-miss with a female Tsundere, or the calmer version known as a Kuudere, on a job I left in 2009. But at that time there was so much going on in my world I might have missed a train hitting me.

Are you a female Tsundere??

Well...if you find yourself blushing and denying you like someone, ("He/She is ugly, lazy, and awful!" and your nose is growing like Pinocchio, yet think of them all the time wishing you could tell them and be with them...you are likely Tsundere to some degree. Gender doesn't matter; there are male Tsunderes as well. You might want to watch this to see the stereotypical Tsundere female from anime, but some are not as violent or rude (trying to hide their feelings and fears of rejection or being made to look stupid).

No, I want her to hold her beautiful body against me. love

RE: Which would you prefer in a partner ?

With choices like that (although many 'Butterfaces' have smoking bodies, and some are actually better looking than the 'butterface' term), all I can say is "If I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me?" laugh

What is the answer?

RIGHT!! Stop that! It's silly! Very silly indeed!! laugh rolling on the floor laughing

RE: The Real NFT Cards - Get yours Today!

The Dems are no smarter; they left Pelosi in charge too long; they left Feinstein to slowly fade away as her mind fails; they failed to address Dem-supporting felons, rfoters and looters, instead trying to disarm the law-abiding under false pretenses of 'public safety', they barely hold the Senate now and LOST the House. The Party itself is under great stress and somewhat more moderate Dems refuse to toe the party line any more. Biden's admin has been a failure overall; Biden worsened inflation while trying to open the border to thousands of illegals, pronounced the pandemic 'over' when it wasn't, and pre-election tried buying votes by the student loan forgiveness giveaway . Harris is a useless mouthpiece of zero substance and no ability to answer tough questions, and the Party itself is wondering who is running for President in 2024, let alone Vice-President, while hoping Biden hangs on so Harris doesn't become President.

Remember, no one political party has all the right answers all the time.

Full Disclosure: I'm an independent voter who has never voted a straight Party ticket since I started voting back in 1985. I voted for Trump twice; I wouldn't vote for him now for dogcatcher in a dogless town. And no, I never bought nor wore a MAGA hat; I didn't agree with all of Trump's positions, nor his ceaseless self-promotion and blabbering on social media. But I knew voting for Biden/Harris was voting for felons, rioters, looters, liars, and neo-Communists who failed this country in many ways as badly as Trump did. In local and state elections I voted for Dems, Repubs, Independents, and even (gasp!) a Libertarian.

RE: The Real NFT Cards - Get yours Today!

Perhaps at least a few of them have finally realized there is no defending him anymore. But if they did realize that, they cannot be morons, since it takes some intelligence to realize the fact that one's idol had feet of clay.

What is the answer?

That's a bit of a Pythonesque animation there, but I'll allow it.
