If they are doing things for themselves, like taking their medication, therapy, and just trying to get through life the best way they know how, that is fine. The ones that I leave behind (and I will get my a@@ chewed for this) are the alcoholics who sit in their world and feel sorry for themselves. My ex was an alcoholic and no one was right but him. He was perfect and everyone else was to blame for his problems. I, unfortunatley had first hand experience with an alcoholic mind, and never want to go back to that. It was pure hell. If the man is doing everything he can to the best of his ability, then it's okay.
spam people...never quite heard it put that way. I crave spam once in a while, but have never had the turkey spam they came out with. Seriously, you are right that it is a shame. It happens in real life as well. Just take your time and you should be fine

sounds like we are going through a bit of the same thing. Feels good to be able to walk on your hind legs doesn't it? I haven't been able to do that for the last few weeks until today....My doctor rocks!!!

plus, I tend to fall off pedastals quite ungracefully....
