Snooks, I quoted an explanation what empathy is in my first post #19 . I know what empathy is but it seems people put a bit more into it than it really is. Not every empath is a good person, even narcissist can be empaths and use it for manipulation. That's what I am trying to explain to you!
Yes, there's a projection of what you believe, imagine or think they feel. Nobody can help you by feeling you or holding your hand. A little comfort and that's it. It doesn't change what one deals with or the way they go through the situation.
No, you don't feel their feelings, you project your own with empathy. That's why empathy can be a projector of negative emotions too. As with sympathy you can not be negative. Just because in recent years some people put an aura around the term empathy it doesn't mean it is something different from the original description of it. One can have a similar experience and project their own experience into someone else's situation. Walking in someone's shoes doesn't mean you do really get it... You are just trying.
There's nothing rare about empathy. The psychological term became fashionable for some reason and exclusitivity was attached to it in recent years. Empathy is simply guessing or imagining the feelings and thought of others. "It captures the ability to project one's own feelings, striving and movements into the shape of objects" In the early 20th century this term was quintessentially an aesthetic impulse. Originally it was supposed to translate the German term for "in-feeling". So, nothing special here, people can relax and go back to be compassionate.

Well, we see who shouts the loudest for equality and rights. Those who think they are owed something by everyone else. The normal person knows that it is their ability, skills and effort that make them who they are and nothing else
Vegetable oil is very cheap if it is 1.30 pounds, so is the sunflower oil. In most countries it was double and even triple that price. Now the price of sunflower oil has dropped over 50% compared with what it was several months ago. Yes, I am saying it is all a speculation as the export wasn't affected by the invasion as much as you were told. Suddenly there's crisis, yeah, right. And mind you, even America created its own price crisis even if it is one of the top 3 fuel producers and doesn't depend on Ukraine for anything. Or may be we don't know something?! And trust me you still pay a very cheap price for what you get.
Ukraine still exports its sunflower oil and wheat. But the reality is presented in a different way. Russia exports most wheat but officially it's sanctioned. The rest of sunflower oil and wheat exporters must have had a blast taking the opportunity to cover the emptied market. Mmmm, don't think so. There's plenty of sunflower and wheat and the prices are still falling due to overproduction. As for the fuel other countries are in the top five, but yet there's a crisis. No logic in all of that, only pure speculation.... Prices will go up because we won't stop buying. The side effects are very welcomed for those who make the big bucks now. Guess who they are?!

I don't understand what you want, Tulefel?! Most of Ukraine is actually untouched and yes, electricity and heating are a problem for many in Europe . All the world is sending Zelensky weapons and money. As a matter of fact he insist Russia is failing and loads of Russian troops are being killed in the last few days... Guess who is shelling the infrastructure?! By the way the Ukrainian refugees in Bulgaria are still residing in our sea side resorts hotels. What more you can ask for? Germany is back to coal in the attempt to lower carbon footprint and be independent of fosil fuel...yeah, I know... Can't you see the hypocrisy in it all? Victimisation is the new black...
I was utterly "touched" by the messages on London Eye during the fireworks. But I must admit I felt sorry I don't fit in any important groups of special people.
