RE: Healthy vegan diet / plant-based - for health, save the planet, ethics, are you already?

Yes, it is OK to check someone profile and comment, it is a public information.
Plus he already started two threads that would have made me look at his profile anyway. And comment.
You don't seem concern when other members are called names and disgusting language is used against them, Bod... Why is that?

RE: Healthy vegan diet / plant-based - for health, save the planet, ethics, are you already?

And by the way when I came to the forums ten years ago, I was treated quite bad by the most famous members of these forums...
I don't remember anyone being concerned.
Have anyone ever though why there are only me and Dedo from this part of the world who survived the gang...
It isn't our forums and we don't decide who stays and who leaves...
And we can call a spade a spade...
This guy doesn't need your pity but a professional help...

RE: Healthy vegan diet / plant-based - for health, save the planet, ethics, are you already?

So, he looks like someone who has a serious problem but I have to pretend and be hypocritical about it?
That's not bashing, that's the truth...
The topic is about health and eating...

RE: Healthy vegan diet / plant-based - for health, save the planet, ethics, are you already?

We expressed a concern, since when it's an attack...?

RE: Healthy vegan diet / plant-based - for health, save the planet, ethics, are you already?

I wonder why so many young people are so lost nowadays...
They haven't lived yet...Nothing to be tired of or worried about...
They have a whole life ahead and many more possibilities than we did have. dunno

RE: Healthy vegan diet / plant-based - for health, save the planet, ethics, are you already?

I doubt he eats anything at all, have a look at his profile, he seems to suffer from anorexia...and not only...sigh

RE: Free Speech

I believe Izrael has created for itself the image of a stigmatised nation and it's used pretty well too...
Most people are turning towards them with sympathy because the idea of the God chosen but most hated is been exploited in any possible way.
Personally from what I have seen and read history wise I believe Jewish are pure Arabs, there are more points that connect them then separate them.

RE: Let’s Debate

It's not the religious belief itself its the person that does project their own personality through it.
I've met hateful but in their own words religious people. Or people who can quote every spiritual saying but are total waste of a human.
Stupid but enlightened...
Claiming you are and actually being something are two very different things.
It's about understanding, huminily and humbleness and not just following the trend.

RE: Plant-based / vegan diet / foods - info from me and the why - what do you all think about it?

For God's sake, Blathin, what does a pro hunting site means when I am quoting information on earliest signs of hunting available...?doh
I will quote a history site now to tell you that the earliest human evidence is dating back about 2 million years ago.
No mystery in their ability to hunt and if they hunted their diet included meat...
Only plant diet is not enough to supply all that the human body needs and it has been proved...
Which doesn't mean people can not be on it, as it is a personal choice...

RE: Plant-based / vegan diet / foods - info from me and the why - what do you all think about it?

"The oldest undisputed evidence for hunting dates to the Early Pleistocene, consistent with the emergence and early dispersal of Homo erectus, about 1.7 million years ago (Acheulean)."

Not very fresh in this matter 1.7 million years is quite an experience in meat eating...
As for crops entered the human diet about 7 000 years ago.
Do we need to compare ? I guess not...
The argument here is that humans are not natural vegetarians by any means and meat is part of their healthy diet...
If we use harmful technology to produce our food it is a totally different matter and it has nothing to do with our diet.

RE: Plant-based / vegan diet / foods - info from me and the why - what do you all think about it?

Human ancestors were nearly all vegetarians, but this is where we stop.
The period of human creatures being mostly plant based eaters were the days when they were more ape like.
I guess the ability to hunt and consume meat had some role in activating parts of the brain leading to more human like creature than ape like.
We can argue any aspect of human evolution though, but as a matter of fact many vegetables and the crops did become human food in extremely recent times.
Like the crops for examples...
I do not put a blame on anyone here.
And I believe that plant produce and waste is as bad as meat produce and waste...
We can have a good will to do better but the fact that the first world population is highly obese speak for itself, and the meat doesn't play an essential part in the obesity problem.
I know many vegans and none of them is even barely slim...

RE: Plant-based / vegan diet / foods - info from me and the why - what do you all think about it?

Plant growing makes an impact on our health as well as climate...
The longer growing season and warmer climate increase the use of pesticides because of the insects and weed ...
Not to mention that the faster perishing of these products leads to a substantial waste.
I believe it's hypocritical to blame the climate change solely on the meat eaters...
And many studies show that plant based diet leads to nutritional deficiency and cause mental health problems...
Lacking the needed fat, protein and Iron and some vitamins and minerals is also to be considered.
Increased intake of carbohydrates is a issue too...

RE: what are acceptable crimes???

That's a great question Teenameena...
When I typed the autocorrect wrote grey instead of great.
And this is the main point in your question.
What is good and what is bad and what do the moral and ethics stand for in this mix. The law may not always be on the side of the the good but on the side of the right.
As someone said we as humans are not as civilized as we think.
We commit crimes that are beyond any acceptance. And yet we do accept them.
It's like slowly poisoning someone and the argument is you are not killing them right away, is there anything humane in it?
Are you less cruel or evil?
Do you deserve to be judged harsher or met with understanding?
We can find something right in the most unacceptable situation and be outraged by the least offensive one.
We are animals after all, thinking ones as well and this makes us the worse creatures of all.

RE: Serial killers...

Indeed laugh

RE: HOW IMPORTANT IS IT TO MAKE A GOOD/GREAT ‘FIRST IMPRESSION’ (esp. in the dating game)?

It depends on why you want to make the impression good at any cost...
We are not always in our best behaviour or state of mind, looks...
You lose nothing anyway...
When you stop worrying about that you will certainly attract people who can see beyond and through...

RE: What do old people think about ?

Well, some people can see their grandchildren only thanks to internet...
We should not deny the great use and the importance of it in our lives...

RE: Share What You Are Listening To -- Part 99

They don't make them like this anymore...

RE: What do old people think about ?

I just got a bag of these... laugh

RE: What do old people think about ?

I had a really bad back but started weightlifting about three years ago and it changed everything.
I'm not someone who starts the day with a handful of vitamins and other supplements.
Coffee and looking forward to having a good day is enough.
You just need to find your own thing...

RE: ~Love is Incapable of Asking For Anything~

I am very well aware of what the different studies says about the topic and yet I can have my own vision and experience of it...
Isn't it the spice and beauty of life...
You can't find your own path while walking in someone else's steps...

RE: What do old people think about ?

I must admit I am very active, probably even more active than in my younger years...
Pushing oneself to do better is the way... We don't know how capable we are if we don't try...
Many just give up and believe they need a rest...
They will rest soon enough...and forever...

RE: ~Love is Incapable of Asking For Anything~

I am afraid we don't match the expectations of this forum...laugh

RE: What do old people think about ?

I consider myself old enough...
And what I usually think about is what I am doing today...
I literally live on my own schedule and never forget to do something just for pleasure...
I make my world a better place...for myself and those around me.

RE: ~Love is Incapable of Asking For Anything~

I always believed that what people know isn't always what someone else before them said...
Everything is naturally put under question and naturally allows to be changed.
Life would be a very boring thing if we had no chance to have a different experience and truths about this experience.
I can not and will not accept everything is exactly what someone else tells me it is, especially if I have my own, unique experience about it.
And this is how it should be...
Like it or not...
