Man threatened with arrest if he wrote ‘not my King’ on blank sheet of paper
"A barrister who held up a blank piece of paper near the Houses of Parliament was told he risked being arrested if he wrote ‘not my King’ on it.
Paul Powlesland, 36, said he travelled into the capital on Monday because he was concerned at reports of police targeting protesters exercising their rights to ‘freedom of speech’.
The detention of anti-monarchy demonstrators after the Queen’s death has been called ‘deeply concerning’ and an ‘affront to democracy’ by campaigners."
UPDATE: UK police confirmed at least 4 people arrested for protesting the monarchy and King Charles:
?? 1 man in Oxford who shouted: "Who elected him?" ?? 3 in Edinburgh, including a 74-year-old, a woman holding a sign and a man who called Prince Andrew "a sick old man." Also in Wales I believe..
Not sure the reason, but I'm thinking it's because the loyalists here are a bit unhappy with the present situation and need a right royal hug, Ireland loves ye too Tom..
My thoughts are always with all those people who have died and suffered as a result of the British occupation of Ireland. Today my thoughts are especially with the victims of the British Army Parachute Regiment as the Commander in Chief of that notorious regiment Charles Windsor visits Ireland. The victims of the Parachute Regiments have been described by the legal system as 'totally and absolutely innocent', with their killings branded by the British Political system as 'unjustified and unjustifiable'.
But this thread isn't about all that, it's about the new kings long standing friendship with a noted publicly notorious p*dophile AKA Sir Jimmy Saville..
It's known how you feel about Andrew (The Nonce) although I would have thought you weren't a Sir Jimmy fan.. Do you think the establishment didn't know about Sir Jimmy's behaviour long before the general public?
Anyway I only have one of these left so you'll have to share it with lady serene..
And I won't mention the queen mother and Sir Cyril..
I guess that could be construed from this thread, although I'm just pointing out the friendship between the new king and the notorious p*dophile Sir Jimmy...
Hi Jac.. Are you speaking for Wales the Nation or the Commonwealth when you say "We"? I don't think "We" were all privvy to the alegations agains't Sir Jimmy though, well up until they could no longer repress them..
And not foretting a special mention to those that have taken time out of their sad lives to use the thumb function on this thread, it really means a lot.. Stay blessed..
