Yes, he's got class, hasn't he?

RE: Going Home - What is Home?

If there is universal consciousness, what relevance has it to me? I might be a component part of it, but I can't see what significance that has for me. There are bacteria in my gut that are an essential part of my ability to exist as a functioning system, but they don't concern themselves with the big picture, they are their own ends, as far as they are concerned. Well I am my own end, and if my existence contributes to a higher existence, then so be it, but it's not my job to interfere with what goes on at Head Office.

RE: Going Home - What is Home?

I suspect it's one of those things that sounds profound, but means nothing.

I wish I had a dog.

I don't think taking a psychiatrist for a walk would give me the experience I'm looking for, Lee. And not only that; I don't think I could keep a psychiatrist in the manner to which he is accustomed. I'm a pensioner now you know.

RE: Going Home - What is Home?

I wouldn't need a reason to think it was worth pursuing before I devoted any time to a long story.

RE: Going Home - What is Home?

I watched it, bod, but I don't know what I'm supposed to take from it. Maybe I'm not intelligent enough to see what he was trying to show me.

RE: Going Home - What is Home?

Are you trying to be ironic?

RE: Going Home - What is Home?

I what way are we all one consciousness?

Do you have a favourite philosopher?

RE: What Should Happen as a Result of the Chris Rock Will Smith Oscars Incident?

How insignificant does something have to be before it is deemed not worth arguing about, I wonder. hmmm

RE: Why do women destroy pictures after a separation?

If it happened to you twice, why don't you put the question to the people who made it happen? They are the only ones who know the answer. dunno

Do you have a favourite philosopher?

Well it's not the winning that matters, it's the taking part. cheers

Do you have a favourite philosopher?

I'm glad you think like that. It is important that we are able to laugh at ourselves. It not only keeps us in touch with reality, it also gives us the right to laugh at others, and that is a right that I value very highly indeed. smile
