I don't know if this scares females or not: I once took a woman on a date to a movie after dark. I jokingly said I would run away and leave her.

The evening went well and we chatted on the phone numerous times after…but we never went on another date.

Depends. Not interested in you, as in not 'romantically'? Maybe.
A woman can have a hubby at home with which she is not friends: he is just there to help pay the bills.

Then again, a woman can have a male friend with whom she shares her feelings, experiences, joys and pains. If you are like me, I prefer the company of females: which includes everything about them, The main thing being that I am usually in the company of some sweet female.

Like I have always said: a person who is bi, or whatever, cannot make a good partner for a hetero person, and vice versa. While two pot covers can close on each other, one truck tire will never work with a car tire on the same vehicle.

I don't want to put a damper in your plans but an LDR requires more faith and hope than a close one. I know someone who was married for more than 30 years but only lived together for about 6.

Well for starters you need:
^ Meeting point, e.g. CS or other meeting place
^ a good computer with sound and a video card
^ smartphone or other good quality phone
^ internet connection or $$$ for long distance costs
^ Skype or other good quality connection software
^ time zone balancing
^ lots of patience and yearning
^ pictures to look at
^ Ability to travel, eventually (jailbirds excludedd )

Why do you say you are still single?

Don't worry too much: time and chance happens to everyone. Just bear in mind that none of us is perfect. If we look for someone perfect we may sadly come to realize one day that our favorite horse has left the gate and we did not place a bet.

If it is based on love:sharing or maintenance. If it is based on trickery by the woman:deceit or he is a boops. A fool and his money are soon parted. Sadly, some properties have high maintenance fees.

What mood were you in before?

I have no issue with those who are genuinely single, but based on my time on CS, I wonder why some very nice and good to know posters still have single on their profile. I mean, CS does not kick us off once we become attached, so why the equivocation?

Me, I use a credit card, but pay it off when the bill comes in. Great way to not carry cash around in case of a robbery. And yes, if I spend a lot one month, I take a break the following month.

A debit card works if you have money in the bank, so one cannot overspend, unless you go over your normal budget. Of course the same applies: spend too much now, cool off next month.

The good think about either of these spending methods is that you can take advantage of some great bargains without having to run to the bank to get real cash.
