Yeah, it's funny. Price per barrel goes up and the prices of gas skyrockets. Price ber barrel falls and prices of gas barely trickles down. You just know these gas companies are laughing all the way to the bank.
Wasn't a willful decision. It was the only way a young, broken mind knew how to protect itself at the time. Now that I'm older, I've met so many people that are good. I've learned to leave the past behind and have learned how to trust again.
Sorry, Jenny, didn't mean to hijack your thread. Fitness and nutrition is something I'm very passionate about, and you know us Scorpios and our passionate sides.
Everyone has to hit their own wall when they decide that's it. But even small changes help. Maybe you could start taking a walk a day and drinking water for meals as a start, then build up from there. I've found the more I do, the further I want to go. It's like a challenge of how far I can push myself and I'm always surprised at the results.
There is no way to target weight loss to a specific area of the body because your body decides where it wants to put on weight and where it wants to take it off. The midsection is a common "problem" area for many people.
The best way to lose fat is through cardiovascular exercise. It is important to do a variety of abdominal exercises (including crunches) to keep your core strong, but until that excess fat is gone, you will not see the muscle definition. So if you’re not doing cardio, crunches are not going to help get the six-pack you’ve been hoping for. Regular cardio exercise at a level that’s challenging for you is your best bet.

Honey, you don't look like you need to lose that much weight, so you must have kept some of it off. The key is to forget dieting. Diets don't work. You have to learn how to change your eating habits in a way you can follow for life. And it's not starving yourself; it's eating only for nutrition or the occasional special event, knowing how much to eat, drinking more water, making healthier choices on what you eat, and exercising your body on a regular basis. I eat anything I want, but if it's not that great, I watch how much I eat and work the rest of my day around it. And if you blow one day, then tomorrow's a new start. Someone there used the analogy: "If you forgot to brush your teeth today, tomorrow would you consider yourself a slob and decide to forget ever brushing your teeth again?" Getting into the lifestyle change is tough, because bad habits are hard to break. But it's worth it, and if I can do it then so can you.
I never understood why women get so upset at their husbands/bfs for staying out late. I'd be the wife encouraging him to go do what he wants so I could have my quality time.
I've always had weight issues and used to be miserable because I didn't know how to fix it. Now I've learned how to properly nourish and fuel my body and since April have lost 35 pounds. I've never been happier or more proud of myself. The overwhelming sense of capability is incredible - I know I can do anything in the world now! Still have more to go and should be at my goal weight by March 09, which is almost 1 year after starting. I'm so excited.
