Yes, always....

I love a witty turn of a phrase.

I listen to hear if we have a similar background...education (school of life or other), books read and interests in things that I like.

I understand that English is not everyones primary language.

But if English is a person's native language, I do take that into account as an indication of who they are.

If that offends some people, I'm sorry, but they wouldn't date me anyway.

Back when I was 18, my navy boyfriend took me to the enlisted men's bar on his base.

All he had to do was go to the men's room and his so called "friends" were all over me like flies on s**t!!!

I learned to live far away from the base!

Your thread brought to mind a time long ago.

When young women lived with their family until they were married.

Men came to "call" and were supervised by the woman's father.

Divorce was unthinkable and a disgrace.

That was a long, long time ago!!!!

That was my first marriage and it lasted 12 years.

I pretty much stick to the first page.

Most of the active threads float to the top...those are the conversations of the moment and tend to stay that way for at least a few hours and sometimes for the day.

Once you get to know people here, you may tend to read posts by specific people.
