I went to the IRS page where you can plug in your info (social security number, your status ( married, single, etc) and your number of exemptions) and it tells you where your Economic Stimulus Check is.
So I plugged in my info and they said:
"You did not qualify for the Stimulus payment because your qualifying income was not high enough. Qualifying income includes wages and net earnings from self-employment that is includable in taxable income, Social Security benefits, certain Railroad Retirement benefits and Veterans disability compensation, disability pension, and survivors benefits received from the Department of Veterans Affairs."
I don't get in because I don't make enough money?
And my son's social security benefits didn't make our income enough so that we might get SOMETHING???
Gee, I guess these checks are for the folks that have a good income and not for those of us who work at home to just get by.
Maybe our beliefs in things magical have some comfort value and make us feel like wonderful things CAN happen even in a world where so many terrible things happen every day
RE: When you don't like a person
When I meet someone, I try to understand who they are, what they believe. And then I watch how they act.
If their words are congruent with the way they act, then I try to get to know them better.
And finally, if I find that I have a certain rapport with the person, then I would say I like them.
Sounds complicated, but what counts is that rapport.
