I get what you are saying LBA but I'd want to know very early on. That's just me though, I'm sure others are different.
Also I don't get the having to trust someone to tell them, mental illness is not a taboo, we as a society need to lift the veil of secrecy around it. Mental illness covers a whole range of illnesses too, so it could be mild depression to full blown psychosis.
It's like the kids thing, when do you tell someone you have kids, from the first hello or after 10 months of stuffing them gagged in the attic?!
The way things are we need a serious change in the Dail. I actually think the 'direct mandate' isn't good for this country as it leads to parish pump politics. To take an example of planning permission and how a local politician will try and pull a few strings and then the person is all happy with that politician and they vote for them - that is an insane system. It does not service the people well and we are left with eye sores of houses and/or housing estate that should never have been built - do you get me. That is only one example but there are loads... it's wrong and indecent.
I don't have all the answer but our current system has failed and we need to find a system that works.
Jimbo are you serious? He has been caught lying loads of times in a handful of months, do you not remember the weekend of the IMF/ECB Loan (I refused to call it a bailout)? He nearly need a gun to his head to say yesterday in the Dail about who exactly had dinner with that night.
His intentions for the blanket guarantee where not to protect the country it was to protect his vested interests.
I'm trying hard to decipher your post. The best advice would be to contact MABS the money advice and budgeting service. They have a website with spreadsheet that will help you do a budget.
If there is a lot of debt they will contact you or your friends creditors and come to an affordable arrangement. This is a free service, do not pay a company to do this for you as it is costly and unnecessary.
In fact you don't have to get MABS to do it either you could do it yourself.
Best of luck.
Ps. also try askaboutmoney.com some great advice there.
Big hug wave Saoirse, a big happy new year to you too, of course you'll be seeing me.. I'll have my dancing shoes own and I'll try dress like a grown up
