RE: Online friend!

laugh

You are one, to me wave

On-line friends are people we can share thoughts and ideas, views and things from our daily life with, where distance and different surroundings make small ordinary topics interesting.

It can grow to a more real life friendship as time goes by and specially if one manages to meet up and do real things together.

It is not as shallow as an acquaintance as one do invest interest in it but it stays on a certain distance, like with colleagues you work with daily.

RE: Forced Religion.

John, that's different to the ops question; in discussing faith, I find it quite natural that the non believers feel a need to wrap words inside-out about it, while believers are fine with just believing.

But as many religious sects have made it a hallmark to be violently forcing their believes onto others, they lack a comparison among non believers.

Now, I do not think those sects are truly religious, but run by Mammon and his disciples, and they exploit the want of faith in the searching people.

All in all, those who really follow what ever scripture they've chosen, would not be with Mammon and his gang. They might even chose to not show up for the Sabbath to not disturb their mind and spirit with superficial ramblings.

And then there are those like me, curious and a pain in the ...

Hang on a second...

Cheap villas in this area, down 15%.

Now, what is that? If it was 750 000 Euro for a villa 200 sqm it will now be 635-640 000 Euro.

Thats € 3.200 a square metre or 420.82 USD / Sq Feet

RE: Do you believe in the death penalty?

Death is everywhere; there are flies on the windscreen. for a start. uh oh

A natural end to life used as a legal tool against some and a relief for others.

Killing someone off is not a punishment for the convicted but to the family around the person. I am against killing, that's how simple it is, but I am not a stranger to death.

The number of people proven innocent while serving maximum sentences makes me wonder if the death penalty is a step too far, as we can never compensate the family for their loss.

RE: Do you guys here really believe in marriage?

Neither Marriage nor Wedding us part of the Romanian or Swedish vocabulary, you are right again - laugh

It's called registering when doing the civil bit and poisoning (!) for the church bit in Swedish.

I am not really accepted into a religious building for a ceremony, btw...

But... I feel good being married (or wed then... roll eyes )

Just that if this for some reason would not work out, then I would not do it again, that is how make it sacred in my own little world of imagination.
