First the privacy issue - No, as long as no other information is given, only to what country his or hers current IP belongs, there is no issue.
It is easy to get around by simply using a anonymizer, but what then happens is that the IP most often will either be untraceable or it will show any other country for which this service is placed, in which for both cases will lead to information that clearly tells this person is up to no good.
There is two cases where it will go wrong, and needs to be addressed by the programmers; one where the member is using internet over satellite and the other where a mobile network with a central "proxy" or gateway is being used. This could and should then be stated.
Basically, to really get around it, one would need to have a computer placed in the country where one claim to be, and direct all traffic through it to have a perfect disguise.
I have so far not seen any of the scammers use that tool anywhere else, and I have seen my fair share...
Thing is, we are quite spread out around here, one state within EU is not very much of an area. Better if we could bunch them together and search all EU.
Well... we repeat what have been said - out of here
Never asked from where they've come, what they have done or where they're going. Just enjoying the moment.
My perception of what looks good is hopefully unique, or I am just a victim of media like they want me to be.
If it takes my breath away its great but beauty happens long before that. Sometimes it takes a while for it to take shape and sometimes it is instant only to fade away after a closer look.
No country can be or should be claimed, no people pointed out, as it is all around us just waiting to be found.

They are generally more savvy about transfer functions and banking rules than they are about IP and networking. Its used on other sites, with great success. It is filtering quite a few, the rest is up to our own creative thinking to figure out.
Stripped code calls for PG-13, as a R-rated would leave little to imagination :)
Using a mobile device for internet, email and similar uses way less energy than using a stationary computer, so it would seem, to protect our future and still keep in touch with the world, its a better choice.
But most of all, I read a book when I go to sleep, I camp with friends and chat on the internet only when I have a spare 15 minutes in between things - that's when I am out and about.
IMHO more compact, less demanding programming, is a way forward in the IT world, not more powerful computers with useless and expensive bling-bling.
Well, this written on such a mobile device, I had to write it in a separate program and copy and paste it into the text box or I could see the full sentences I write.
I use internet a lot from it, particulary google translate and news services.
The suggestion is about reading the site on a mobile phone browser. Since I travel a lot, I often do not have the laptop handy, it's quicker to use the phones browser.
When receiving a message from someone here, it could be useful if Geo IP info was added in a header, telling from where the sender was logged in when posting. A brilliant anti scam tool, whenever possible to be used. That is - not the IP number itself, just the country info.
Could we please get a filter to search EU only members, as for USA and Canada? And while you're at it, do similar for other parts of the world. Distance is not everything, but still...
It would be neat if CS added an XML formatted version or at least a stripped HTML version for use with mobile phone browsers. The latter should be fairly easy to do, as already the site is almost fully usable as is.
The first, and most important, rule : Never use only CAPITALS when writing a message, this is considered yelling / shouting / screaming. We might go deaf
Second, write as you speak, use punctuation and one little space between the end of one sentence and the beginning of the next. It makes it easier to read and kind of let us hear your "voice".
In rest, good luck to you, you seem to have a crush with snowy places though

Is that thing up there even living in our time, in Europe?OP reported
