I also have met many that hold grudges against white people. But something else I saw a lot of while going to the pow-wows, sweats, etc. is the rivalry between the tribes. Upset me and I would like to have put in my 2 cents worth when I went to a few of the meetings with Nick, but because I am white and was only married to a Native I could not voice my opinion.

I have one from REO whn they were doing a concert and stayed at the lodge where I was working. Also got my picture with them. Such a nice bunch of guys.

Daniel, Thank you, religion has been such a touchy subject and this post is letting those who wish to speak of their beliefs without ( hopefully) being ridiculed. As for me, I am a Christian. But I do not try to choke people with my beliefs. I also am looked down upon by several in the church I USED to worship in. I now worship in my home each day . Will not go into what drove me away from that church. But will say, even though I am a Christian, I am not perfect and never will be and I don't feel that I or my beliefs are any better than others. JMO

HJ, Right now I have a few tears. I have what my whole family describes as a soft heart, cry easy. Those words really touched my whole being and more honest I have never seen. I am going to copy and frame it where all can see, especially my kids. I love them dearly but sometimes they think I need led so to speak. Thank you so much. You are a wonderful guy, even with the ornery streak.

Makes me think of the gossip game we would play at home parties. If you were told a lie to begin with and you pass it on can you even imagine how blown up it will be by the time it gets passed on down the line? Kind of like reading profiles, some you know right away they are lies, others seem very genuine. A lie is a lie and you need to really think about things before you continue the gossip. JMO
