If McCain wins...Bush is not a lame duck. He is still in office, under a new name. But I would be happy to see Cheney impeached, anyway. Too late in the process, though.
This thing of patriotism is getting old. All these war mongers who claim to be patriotic, were not so patriotic on Sept. 10th. Where were all the flage wavers then. Yes, there were some. But since 9-11, there has been a resurgence of vengeance, not patriotism.
OBama has not shown any disrespect for the flag. All those rumors have been proven false. He is not the only one to suggest the national anthem be changed. It has been suggested for years. I am all for changing it to America the Beautiful.

I bought a 12 pack of cupcakes on the fourth of uly. Each had an American flag. Under this amendment, it would have been illegal to throw thgem away.
So my question is, when does a flag...become a flag? 2 in? 6in?
12in? It is indeed a piece of cloth and to see it otherwise is idolatry. I served my country. I stand for it's ideals. But I won't be drawn into worshipping a symbol of it's existance.
