You will do as your heart tells you is best for all, but my personal opinion here is that You should take whatever the bulk of this settlement is to recoup any lost finances that curretly put you behind the eight-ball. Never minding the past as those days are done and you had the companionship of your daughter to balance against whatever monies were lacking.
Put your curret finances in the green.
Take the remainder and do something with your daughter, like a trip or something special for just the two of you.
Split whatever remains with her as an education or starter fund and a nest egg for yourself.

He is her father but the money would have supported the family not just your daughter. She would have been in a terrible place had she money and no mother as well. You deserve some portion of that for raising her.

Then again in this circumstance the inside was obviously changed and the person you loved was no longer present. I still would go the route of the Notebook though as I could never lose her even for a moment if their was hope of one more second in her presence.

God forbid of course, but no disfiguring incident could ever sway my heart. The body is merely the vehicle we are given in life to have some means of mobility.
The woman who holds my heart regardless of her current physical beauty, would never worry about being traded in or up or down.
She has the most impressive headlights, the sweetest chassis, and every other part of her rings a peal in my head all day long but she is who she is on the inside so much more than the trappings of her outward self.
Age is the ultimate equalizer for those who see with their eyes rather than their hearts. Nothing wrong with polishing, buffing oil changes and every other sort of comfort to prolong her form but in the end she will age gracefully or not but she will age.
If the woman of your dreams (or man) pulls up in the snazziest car (or truck) you've ever imagined do you leave them because the got into an accident? Or because the vehicle gets rust spots? How could anyone draw such lines and enforce their views upon one they claim to Love?

Anything that would be counterproductive or detrimental to the other person in my life is a problem that I would actively take a stance to correct.
There is nothing that I would not turn away from that impaired either her, myself or us.
How could anyone profess to Love someone else nevermind themselves if they would trade Love for a cigarette or alcohol or any other thing that would ruin what they share?

225 highest, 165 lowest (when I lost my children) and currently 200. I am 6 foot two so all in all pretty decent all around except the 165. I was pretty emaciated- hadn't slept much for 6 months and hardly ever ate.

Even online I have a very difficult time flirting with more than one person. I know it is done tongue in cheek yet I cannot bring myself to pass boundaries I have drawn in the sand which fills my head. The same is true in RL but I am much more aware of how comments can be taken out of context in real life.
I am not adverse to complimenting someone in either place but I do hope that it is taken with innocence as I have only one woman in my heart.
Of course I am not disconcerted by others flirting with each other in any way, it is my own personal conception for myself and the utmost respect for the woma who holds my heart.
If I was uncomfortable with any sort of flirting in my general direction, I would politely indicate this in a private letter, so as to not lose a friendship and have a difficult situation continue.
