RE: Cuba is awash with oil. Maybe there is a god.

Doen't that just say a huge amount, if it is really true then the American Government should hang its head in shame, I don't pretend to understand anything regarding the use of Cuba as a potion of the US militia but it certainly appears from the outside to be wrong.

dunno confused

RE: ReSpEcT!

Respect is being able to show consideration for someone, to listen and have the ability to recognise that someone may be able to pass on the benefit of their experience, without prejudging them, be they a child or a learned scholar.

To earn respect is more that just telling someone what to do.
Its being able to demonstrate that you can also carry out that request. The sign of a true leader

RE: Where are the artist?

Yer I totally agree, and every time they bring out a new version it just makes it harder to use, I gave up and now use open source equivalent, straight forward and the online help is just the best

RE: where do you think is the cheapest and dearest country,in the world in which to live?

Its not a very easy question to answer unless you have travelled around the entire world and visited every counrty, But I have travelled quite a lot around europe, Africa, Canada and America, so in my limited experience I would suggest Ukraine as the cheapest, and possibly the UK as the most expensive, but wonder if Iceland might not be somewhat worse now but in all cases its really depends on how much money you earn.

Iceland tends to pay well across the board but still costs a fortune to live, Ukraine pays reasonably well but has very few jobs.

I would happily live anywhere that allowed me to have a job and where the cost of living was realistic. I'm not greedy, just would like to live to work not work to live.dunno confused

RE: For the Men... As a single guy, if money were no object which of these would be your dream vacation?

Has to be #4 for me. I love the outdoors, and have always wanted to visit a luxury "Dude ranch" although my absolute dream would be to move the whole thing to the Blue Ridge mountains, those I've just gotta see before I diethumbs up

RE: Online dating works

Well when you think about it, if it didn't or at least if members of a dating site didn't then there would only be a couple of people to keep Shippy and Stooie company

RE: Where are the artist?

I don't think he was telling you of Mikelaugh

It was all techno jargon,

Don't let it worry you, most knew where you were coming from

Basically he was suggesting that for simplicity if you took copies of all the pictures and places them on one page, in this case a page managed by the site called Photobucket, you would just need to post the link to that page for all to see these pictures.

Its just a way to get you to do all the work so the lazy just need to push one button IMOlaugh laugh

RE: Self-fulfilling Prophecies

Spirit, all this is way to fresh for you to feel any other way, 8/9 week!!! At that time I was inside a pit so dark and evil the devil would have pee'ed his pants if he had come there.
Give your self time and make sure you have "You" time. The Homo sapien is a very robust and flexible animal.
There is light at the tunnel, and we all have days when we want to turn to the person sat on the sofa next to us and just give them a kiss, because we can, It will happen Spirit. just give it time.

RE: Self-fulfilling Prophecies

I my view there is no norm, no set formula to making or breaking a relationship, Marriage and commitment are also very very important to me, I have had 3 "Real" relationships in my life, was married in 2 of them and I can tell you that when my last marriage crumbled away it hurt me more than anything that has ever happened to me before, I was totally destroyed mentally, devastated that this one person to whom I had devoted my whole being, could just walk way with even a glance over her shoulder.
But I have come to terms with my feelings, my life now is in perspective again and I know where I am going with it.
I know that somewhere, out there in this amazing world we call our home, there is that person who will return all that love and emotion, who will stand beside me, hand in hand and together we will enter the wonderful relationship that is total commitment to each other.

Its not my emotional self.. appealing to my wants.., Its my belief, my faith and its what I live for.

RE: Self-fulfilling Prophecies

Yep, if you don't take the risk, life will pass you by until you look back and realise its too late now

rejection, lost love, breakups all cause hurt and pain, but in my opinion, its worth all those to find that one special person, that star that will shine a light within your heart for ever.

RE: can someong answer a few bible q's for me ??

Thats what I am saying, the point that also needs to be made is that the whatever the "God" in question actually is ( by the very nature of belief) it is irrelevant, it can be man-animal-plant-rock-idol-hero-spiritual-sun-moon-planet etc etc and of course a strongly held belief can in turn become a religion. It all comes down to man requiring something to "BELIEVE " in, which in turn gives that person inner support when all else has failed him, even Cro with all his petulance and denial has, In my opinion, a belief which may seem misplaced to many but is still a belief. I have no quarrel with his or any other persons belief or religion, far from it, I actually like to learn of other peoples believes, but would dismiss those that personify violence or extremes as not relevant to my inner search for my belief.

RE: I stuck this in here...

Part of that "becoming repaired" is looking and understanding our part in the breakdown. and coming to terms with the fact that its happened, its gone and its not coming back, and that if it did come back it would not be the same Once we are past that then yes we learn and seek the new path, knowing that we have learnt and will be a better partner in the future.

There are no guaranties in this life, but though life's experiences we strive to become better and better at dealing with the crap that gets thrown at us from time to time
