Da, that was beautifully stated, and it's so true. I've had that, and I'd like to have it again. It might not have lasted forever, but it did last until death we parted.
I don't know who she is, Thumper, but nobody should be sent to the rejection thread. That sounds like being sent to your room, or to the corner with a dunce cap in school. Can't have that around here for nice people! (And I'm presuming she's nice because she's a friend of yours.)
So...everybody join hands and lets start dancing! Anyone got puddles we can go splashing around in?
Hmmmph, didn't know that, Riz. You really are a font of knowledge, aren't you? Dang...so it doesn't really matter that I spent all of that money on those CF light bulbs that I didn't know I couldn't dispose of safely until they were already in use, eh?
For me, though I've got quite a bit of schooling ahead of me, I already feel like I'm succeeding. I have helped three friends out considerably with my knowledge so far, and hope to see results with the help I'm giving another soon. It makes me more determined to finish my studies, but I'm already doing what I want to do...helping people live better, healthier lives.
Yes, it is. I did it here once. I won't do it again, though...I'll save my heart until I actually meet a person. But I have good friends from here I haven't met yet.
Sadly, in real life here it took me and 3 men to try to change a light bulb in my kitchen, only to discover that a new one couldn't be put in place because the spring was so corroded that it wouldn't even release with contact cleaner.
Do NOT us halogen bulb ceiling fixtures in a light you leave on a lot. The matching fixture on the dining room side still works fine...but I have no bright kitchen light until I decide what I want to replace them both with this time. Sucks, 'cuz they're only a year old. Lesson learned the hard way.
I don't know. My friend got that tip from an herbologist who specifically said orange juice. We suspect grapefruit juice would work as well...I think it's the citrus and the Cream of Tartar combined that does it. If you're serious, I'd stick to the proven of what works.
I'm sorry you don't have that special one to spend it with, but don't you have friends and family? Treat yourself to something nice, and make the most of it.
Mine is coming up shortly, and so far no special man...but a friend of mine is taking me to see Blue Oyster Cult at an outdoor concert the day before it.
I have to say, I'm honestly not surprised. You'd think that the Roman Catholic bank would be more careful about choosing morally acceptable investments, rather than investing in everything the Church says it's against.
You'll find we're from all over the US and the world, but we're always welcoming. Welcome to the nut house!
You can check out the WY forums, but most state forums aren't very active, and there's no USA forum, so you'll find a lot of Americans from all over here in the Internationals.
Oh, and for responding to others in a less-confusing way, there's a quote button in the bottom right corner. Just hit that to reply and have the little white box appear above your response. The reply one doesn't do it.
If you have Cream of Tarter, put a 1/2 tsp in a glass of orange juice every morning for a week to a week and a half. It flushes the old nicotine out of your system, which gets you over the cravings faster. Warning, though, you'll pee brown for a while as it flushes out...but after a week, week and a half of this, no more cravings.
I just had a friend tell me of this remedy the other day, and according to him it's worked well for him and a couple of others.
Oh, Cream of Tartar is a spice...if you don't have it, go get it today and use it as soon as you get home, then every morning for the remainder of the week or so.
LOL...Petal, you made me think of my days in the Army when we could say anything we wanted to someone of higher rank, so long as we preceded it with "With all due respect..."
