That's absolutely right ! We're helping a bunch of Libyans who couldn't give a crap about us ....while we could be helping a country that we do big trading with - who happen to have a "REAL" humanitarian problem going on .....
Put the bottle down and put on your reading glasses Alberta ....Please don't be difficult like this ..
QUOTE ; "I wonder .......just how many Japanese could be helped by each one of those $ 1.4 million dollar cruise missiles we shot off in Libya ......??? "
Two former military intelligence ground targeters were on TV the other day. They were comfirming ground people were already in place staging and identifying targets for the cruise missiles. We do have very sophisticated overhead resources - but the ground work needs to be done first by people in plain clothes - as they put it. These guys were military special services ground troops as I recall.
The military has special teams not specifically CIA who do that work ....evaluating target richness and colateral damage estimating. They make some calls to call off strikes by being nearby
I can guarantee anyone that we've had troops on the ground there for over a month - evaluating targets and making sure only targets without civilians around are taken out .....
No, but it would be much more positive and productive if everyone would start thinking about "providing solutions" - rather than continue to drag this country down negatively with finger pointing ......
We do more than that ...we write our political representatives and tell them they're idiots. We vote in new dummies with hopes that one day we'll get one who actually represents us - rather than ppays their own ajendas..... Sometimes we wonder if it will ever end ...
You are right.....but unfortunately in the modern global business arena - ethics are disposable and final desired outcome honored. Our world leaders live in a world where human compassion is just an excuse for materialistic and political gain....... The US is in the forefront in this deperate race for superiority at any costs.
