Software drivers can be uninstalled, in Windows, via the control panel/system/hardware/device manager. Just right-click on the non-functioning driver and select uninstall. Then right-click again on the root of the tree and select scan for hardware changes. Normally the "new" hardware must be rediscovered and you can reinstall the drivers.
