I know a tried and true way of letting males down easy without hurting their egos. It has worked many times. I explain I really like them, but, my ex-boyfriend has been calling and we've been talking and have decided to get back together. I tell him what a good catch he is for some other woman... He is maybe disappointed or glad... either way, it's done and we are not enemies. I might add it is a total fabication. I will be expecting to meet someone new as I'm not going back to an ex...
Will this work with a female? I don't know. I only know that males can deal with being dumped if it is to an ex than if it is someone new or simply because they aren't liked.
