RE: are some women on here crazy?

"chatting to this woman from riga (latvia). finished flying to latvia we decided to go for a meal. she took me to this medival restaurant. no lights only candles (ok so call it romantic). no heating (it was last november) so not really romantic. they had this band. one with a drum, one with a flute and one with a harp. honestly speaking if i had a pistol i would have shot the three of them. now i know why in
chatted this one from kiev. that was brilliant. the agency i booked the apartment with i booked a taxi from the airport. she was on the phone asking where i am. told her at the airport looking for the taxi. she phones me back and gave me a car registration number. i am walking up and down zulhany (pretty small airport) airport looking for this registration number. could not find it. after about another 10 calls it turned out it was a different car and the driver had fallen asleep. anyway, got to the apartment. had a shower and change of clothes. off to a restaurant. bleeding meal and drinks came to 300 euros! this is kiev for crying out loud........... then off to karaoke cos she likes to sing. drinks only 100 euros. said she was a waitress. i go again to kiev. we go out for a meal. i find out she is actually a striptease dancer. that one went down well"

I kept waiting to read that she got up on stage and sang Stand By Your Man as in the James Bond movie Goldeneye, I believe...shame she didn't, that would have fit in totally...

RE: girls.... do you think Men should share housework with women?

My house, my responsibility; if too mush at any one time, I can hire a cleaning woman. But sometimes, for some things, it is nice to share...like preparing and cooking a meal...that can be quite creative...grin

RE: Is it ok for a white man to go out with an Indian woman?

The above quote is as about as good as one can say in this situation.
I find the entire question rather ludicrous; it has continued to be asked ever since the idiot British invaded the Indian sub continent in the late 18th century and kicked the French out who had no problems at all with , to use the name used by the Brits to refer to all Indians, Pakistanis and Afghans: "ni**ger" even up to the early 1920's as one of my original copies of the British edition book of "Little Black Sambo" with accompanying record of songs calls them. But as we all should know, by the time the Brits decided to vacate India, many had already broken down the colour and cultural bars, despite the sneering remarks of those 'savages' by all segments of lower and upper classes and especially the military. They left the same effect in South Africa, unfortunately, but not as deep. Most Afrikaners that I knew liked them and associated with them and did not refer to them as 'wogs', neither did any that I knew from serving with in the military. Both socially and professionally, we all got along quite well and no one ever thought to ask if it was ok to go out with an Indian or Pakistani woman; socially, they were a joy when out in public or over for dinner.
The British South Africans were another matter altogether; one would think from all their whining and put on airs that they were at one of their exclusive polo clubs back under the Rahj debating the various tones of the servant's skins...they have always struck me as the single most unhappy people in all of Africa.

RE: Why does everyone on here want someone who is hard working

Well, there are all those 'Millionaire' type sites where both men and women are looking for mates with so much moneys that they do not work at all and can lounge the house all day, not watching TV, as that would deprive the other of needed attention, and feed them chocolates all day...then you end up with a fat constipated ol' cow or if you feed them grapes all day while they watch their TV soaps, you end up with someone who has the runs all night...lifestyles of the rich and and lazy; must be total bliss...laugh

RE: Does Voodoo work

I've seen the Brazilian version called Macumba; it is culturally inflicted upon people by the promoters and believers; psychosomatic, self festering mental aberration that deludes believers into being convinced it is magic...a form of pathology run amok, but hay, Health Departments recognize 'witch doctors' and allow them to do their things in any hospital ward or room should they be requested by any patients...believe me, it is a sight to see an all dressed up real witch doctor with all their paint and plumage going down a hospital corridor and/ or hearing all the whoops, yells, and screams while jumping around a patients bed...It is not a solemn or quiet ceremony.grin

RE: When to date a widowed person...

Somewhat over-dramatic to mention tears and all that it implies to go along with that...If he doesn't know; hasn't been able to figure himself out in two years after he death, it is obvious that he is not 'over it' whatever that means for himself.
As a widower, despite our mate's death, we go on; we continue to work; meet people in all sorts of ways and function. Life goes on; one cannot hide or run from it. That includes meeting nice attractive people afterwards. If one is 'in the still grieving stage', some will become friends or mere acquaintances and then, one or two may...may become the perfect solution to being consoled via physical means; perhaps even emotionally, if fortunate. Then those seem to drift away...One always meets people regardless of most of our situations, not all by any means. There is always a potential that someone you meet just may spark a more that a casual interest in and it would be self hindering and defeating to mention becoming tearful when remembering one's loss, thereby implying that they are still finding it difficult to be fully interested in someone new...give this a pass and just wish him a good recovery; the time needed is different for all who lose or finally lose their spouse...wine

RE: Should Obama give secret missle data to Russia? Would this be treason against the american people?

Let's go even better: Prior to WW1, many countries, especially Imperial Russia, England and Imperial Germany exchanged full regiments to be stationed in each other's countries. It promoted 'better understanding and better relations', or at least it was supposed to. Let the US and Russia do that PLUS exchange full missile batteries and crews and let's see what develops...grin

RE: Can dreams predict the future ?!!

Hallo Jono!
Somewhat, I'm not sure what to call them however; dreams since childhood and years would go by and then suddenly it's like deja-vu and I then recall the dream at the very moment. I wish that whatever it is or from where it comes that it could be controlled or at least something to tell me 'it' is coming...frustrating to say the least.
Remote viewing to see into the future????????? Ive read several books on that including one by the 'founder' of the whole concept for the CIA experiments and even 2 or 3 by former participants in using it for various intelligence services, there was never any sort of mention or capability for seeing into any realm other than a real time location, be it thousands of miles away or in an object. Several people mentioned trying to lock on to UFO's but were mentally or even psychically blocked from doing so...one would have to go back to Raymond Fowlers books on 'the Watchers' to perhaps get a clue as to the nature of the whole phenomenon...confused dunno wave

RE: THE BUCKET LIST

Looked at the book 1001 Places To See Before You Die; seen a lot already not much interested in the rest. While I have no 'bucket list' , I am waiting for the logical sequel: 1001 Places In Which to Die...hey why not, when you finally kick your bucket over, it may as well be in a place that to you is just fabulous, right. Better than some ol' room in a run down house or some sterilized antiseptic room in an old age home with white uniforms...how depressingbarf

RE: Internet Marriages

Weddings by proxie have been around since ancient times; this is just another form, new and electronic but same principle; the virtual reality format can make it formal or 'informal' and include the usual witness or two and be certified just as legal as those performed electronically by marriage machines in the state of Nevada for, I believe a silver dollar dropped into the slot and after your 'vows', it spits out a certificate of a legal marriage.
You may then proceed to enjoy your 'honeymoon' in a car or plane down to Juarez Mexico, let's say and file for a Mexican divorce...rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Can dreams predict the future ?!!

Edgar Cayce had a few out of dozens that did whether by coincidence or not, within a year or two after they were recorded. The last one had to do with the possible rising up of parts of what he termed 'the ruins of Atlantis'; actual carved stone pillars, 2 if I recall washed up near Bimini island; a short time later underwater explorers discovered what is now called 'the Bimini wall(s) of massive granite cut stone blocks on the sea bed where none had been seen before...all fully documented.
One can also check out the dreams and visions of the Bulgarian woman known as Baba Vanga; WW3 predicted made many years ago; so far quite a few are seemingly more than coincidental...especially with the rise of militant Muslims and the war in Chechnya that is not yet over. Very interesting...wine

RE: Is It OK To Ask A Child Which Parent He or She Wants To Stay With After Separation

When my parents finally got around to divorcing, my father filed for child custody. The court did ask me at the age of 8 with whom did I want to live with. It was easy to answer. I chose my mother as my father was for all practical purposes a total stranger plus he already had a new family. He had run off when I was 2 with my 18year old nanny...laugh
I did live with him for about 6 months perhaps when I came to the US, but I felt lost there , so when my mother got settled, I ran off to her place. No real regrets, though I also came to the conclusion that I wasn't really wanted by my mother either, I upset her social life as she put it...when she tried to dump me into an orphanage at 12 years old....they rejected her request.
From then on I was on my own for all intents and purposes.
The one possible regret about not having lived with my father is that perhaps he could have gotten me into West Point Academy. Not that it would have changed the direction I did eventually take, but it might have been interesting. Children are people too; they have rights to make choices based on what they experience. I certainly did and have no regrets other than I wish that I had loving and caring parents for each other, including myself. But hell, how many of us ever have that, not many. I said the hell with the both of them by the time I was 15.
Perhaps in the next life, circumstances will be a lot better...dunno

RE: Which do you prefer?

Wine would be like water as I normally have some with dinner since childhood including in schools while in France. Beer I normally detest though I will try some odd one once in awhile in the everlasting hope of finding one I do like, which hasn't been for decades now and the few that I did like are long gone from existence, like Hopin'Gator, made with fruit punch or something...Mash Beer, named for the old TV show and one Norwegian beer. Some of the Cloister made beers in Germany are delicious but are so hard to order.
