Why am I not surprised! Besides the various Hercules movies with Steve Reeves,or Mark Forest, Les Barker and others, you have all the Goliath movies and dozens more with their usual 'cast of thousands'; Goliath goes ballistic in the film Goliath And the Dragon, or Hercules goes underground in 'The Mole Men Against the Son of Hercules', or Maciste declares war on 'The Underground City of The Albino Evil!' Get a listing from Something Weird Video. There's even one called Hercules Versus The Mongol Horde; Jack Palance plays the entire horde...or Yul Brynner in Taras Bulba, aka The Tartar Lightbulb...

After shave for wine, a photo of a turkey, (from a Martha Stewart cookbook) An old orange crate for firewood, and day old pudding from a diner... Warmth from the fire , (laughter from a limo passing by with windows down...) Sure seems normal from where I huddle...
I tighten my tattered army jacket and wonder... Where could I fit a Christmas tree... In this dumpster filled with other discarded, and disposable people, that we can now call home... Maybe Martha Stewart can design some wallpaper for our home and donate some lights for our delights...
It's down right apocalyptic: it started with a bit of a flurry of snowflakes around 5am, now it's just freezing sprinkles...there are no 24/7 liquor stores here...and I find the prices as bad as mortgage payments; has no one here ever heard of 'discount liquor stores' where one can find a a fifth of bourbon for about 2 dollars, or a gallon of rum for $3.98!? And they are so small; they should all be the size of a wall mart, at least! The stores here need to drastically drop their prices, we are in a major depressed recession and since the 'great Depression' the price of booze always went down, not up! It's all people have left; to try and drown their sorrows away because they are loosing their SUV's, and million dollar homes for some god's sake! Things here are coming apart...some people are having to live in homes with only 80 to 75 degree temperature! Oh the horror! The horror of it all.... (Went to see the film 2012; 7 people in the theater...there were more car thieves outside prowling around the parking lot areas!) Good movie, btw.... Have a beautiful day!!
I've opened a few bottles of 'Christmas Spirit' and haven't found her yet.. Perhaps I need to find a bottle in the shape of a Genie's Lamp and (a) she may pop out...
That is the nice thing about this site: anyone , be they out to cause general mischief or spread malicious, inflammatory and unsubstantialy unverifiable rumours about anyone. Unfortunately, in my case it is all a matter of public record, both in print from various newspapers to television /news/docu. shows. It would be quite understandable for anyone to spread rumours about myself with my background from hiding; playing sniper. Many of us on CS have had to endure this over the years.. That said, anything else pertaining to that can be via private mail. I don't particularly care for dogs, btw; I prefer cats... Ciao, navygirl1
"Unlike you I have traveled extensively and seen things that would make you cry like a little baby. I don't expect a civilian to understand this and that is okay."
oh dear, civilian??? Never traveled????? Too, too much. I've served in more than various wars and armies than there days in just over one week never mind the number of countries throughout Africa and South America...starting with the Biafran war in 1969...then into the Legion Etranger, then free-lance until the late 70's. While many are born with with shortcomings, one should not be in a rush to accumulate more of any deficiencies. That is just not 'normal' nor would it be to proclaim how 'ab normal' one may be... These are the times that try the primitive neanderthal soul that lurks within many, be it all the accumulated wrong and usually false education, governmental propaganda that one cannot understand and will not admit to, native hair styles, an exotic little understood religion or what have you that upsets that ol' red-necked dominance of enlightenment. I certainly have not meant to upset you on a personal basis, so please don't be offended. Think of mirrors in a 'house of mirrors' in a Circus or midway amusement park; you may not like or appreciate the images reflected back from you, but then again, who is to say if that isn't what you reveal...about any so called 'sacred' beliefs. This is the age when all truths are lies and all lies are true...and that is the truth... Think for yourself and you just may make it out alive in the coming times ahead...it is a live and let die world,; Life is togh; wear a helmet.
I have no idea of what connects uniform dress codes or traditions to individual acts of criminal assault by rogue elements of any country's police...did the dress antagonize a less that mentally mature member of the other group??? How is assaults tied to legislation dealing with the human right to have a home...I do not see anything related unless someone was being prevented from occupying the home assigned to them or perhaps those were taking someone else's home..? As for the last incoherent statement, I can only wonder where you have been since the BNA act was signed by Trudeau and Queen Elizabeth signifying, among other stipulations, that the Queen is no longer the sole Sovereign of Canada and that henceforth the term 'Royal' would no longer be applied or recognized on Canadian Institutions or its government. That was back in...what, the late 80's...where could one hide for so long, not to have heard of all this....
"We are losing all Canadian traditions and it is sad." I find this sentiment, in its context very uninformed, as most 'Canadian traditions' pertaining to the military, are in fact British and on top of that , you are greatly misinformed and totally wrong. It was in the finest tradition that all colonial and subject peoples serving with and later in the British armed forces, that they wear their own traditional dress, such as turbans. Have you never studied the British army or the history of the British East India Company's armed forces, or even seeing the many movies of the wars and rebellions in India and Afghanistan during the late 1700's to the 1900's ?? They were quite accurate in their details regarding uniforms and native dress. Turbans were even worn by home grown British soldiers primarily in the various cavalry and police units. Perhaps you could find a copy of Gunga Din for starters or read any of several books about the various battles or uniforms that I could recomend or find yourself at most libraries. There were Canadian units in the British Army serving in India and those serving with the elite units usually wore turbans as part of their regimental uniforms. There was no such thing as 'Canadian tradition' until Canada became a separate and distinct country and then dropped any of its long dress traditions of British military service that no longer reflected colonial integration in its armed forces. This was the specious arguments regarding turbans in the Toronto Police force and the RCMP back in the mid 80's . I then pointed out as to you, it was indeed in the best of traditions that native dress be/was adopted by the more tolerant British colonial forces of which Canada was a part of. It also helped solidify their native contingents to the Crown and acted as a source of great pride for the natives. Many of the European colonial armies also adapted to this and the histories of other colonial regiments and units became legendary and a lasting pride even when the colonial status was severed in favour of total independence. Many countries celebrating their independence have military parades with a unit that has carried those old traditions to this day...ie, the famous Bengal Lancers is still a sense of immense pride for both India and even Bangladesh....the once Free State of Bengal during the 40's. Canada has no need to be intolerant of native dress integrating their police or military, it should be welcomed as did the British. As for the rest of your posting, I am in full agreement and dympathize, especially on the homeless. The EU has dec;ared the right to a home a human right, thanks to the French; Scotland has signed it into law. Canadian politicians have evaded this explosive issue or have in many ways said it will never happen here.(!?) I will disagree and I would hope so would any Canadian; I ask how is it anti Canadian to guarantee everyone a home in this country! That sounds more like the US Republican Party thinking... guaranteed homes but only for the rich...
It will certainly make a lot of people happy, especially all the people employed by those firms supplying all the war material, all the multi-global corporations and all those poor bored military personnel just mopping around with nothing constructive to do...and perhaps the growing numbers of poor, unemployed and homeless males around as the casualty rates continue to increase and they may eventually take the place of those rich and well connected enough to opt out of any service in a war zone... This is the ultimate 'equal opportunity program where virtually everyone can contribute to the war effort by being a target and/or casualty, able to serve the US New World Order...new slogans can help spur on the enlistments such as 'Praise de Lawd an' da Neu Woild Order an' pass me anoder gallon o' gas for ma SUV!' and let's not forget the main pro Israel groups who wish to cleanse the world of the Ayrab Mooselems, we can shortly probably hear 'Zionism Mach Frei!' or something equally inspiring from the Madison Ave. Ad firms...oozing 'dat ol'time religion and patriotic zealotry just oozing out of every pour...goh, it'll be so cool to hear a US puppet President say to it's people Hey,y'wall, Sig Hi ! Yep, times are-a changin'; time to polish up dem black jack boots and get you'sefs one o'dem new black uniforms and practice your straight-arm saluts! Yee Ha! (or is it 'Hee-haw! like jack-asses)
I would wonder what kind of lunatic would even think to mention or put CS as a reference or character validation on any resume?????????Same goes for what kind of idiots would put their Facebook name or any dating, singles or social networking site on any resume for any job....what are they thinking?!
There is a third member to this menage a quatre; he had admited his guilt and has been duly convicted in a separate trial. So far no one has sought to interview him....curious...it gets even better; his trial was public and records are available, yet again no one, especially the press, has published those records, nor has there been any interviews with any official from that trial...why not; would it not be relevant to the Knox trial and verdict???? Some one is not doing their job...Based on that conviction and testimony, the odds are that she was indeed involved, as at the very least, an accessory after the fact in that girls murder... If she is convicted at her appeals trial, then it must all come out or if she is exonerated, then his conviction will have to be looked at again an possibly overturned also.
I is also males. Some years ago on CS, a house cleaning was done and over 25 profiles were found to be fake in photos and profiles; some had as many as 3 and more profiles...mostly males. Who's lacking in self confidence and attractiveness??? One guy was usinf a model photo from GQ magazine...go figure.
The roads of Life are filled with potholes side roads that have no signs and many are dead ends...and sometimes one gets run over or can't find the main road again...
No matter which you may or may not choose, it makes little difference so long as this is the system that remains in place with no uprising or out right rebellion to overthrow this pernicious system that only changes the public faces of its policies and hidden agendas. Other peoples have taken to risk everything, especially their lives to overthrow what they believed to be vile and corrupt governments, political parties and criminals of either local or international representatives of their countries. So long as a government remains in power that seeks domination not only of its own peoples but also seeks to dominate the world at large to the extent wherein it appoints itself as 'the will of the people' it is a threat to the entire world and must be overthrown by any means possible and that system must be destroyed along with those who are maintaining it in power. Such a system cannot ever be changed from within by peaceful means; none ever has; that system only turns on its own people. Until such a system is totally overthrown, its people will be collectively held responsible for all its actions to other peoples and countries around the world. This is the main reason for such hatred by others and is the basis for the rising tide and development for all the radical extremists around the world; to hit back at and in anyway possible. Each individual becomes a target as both a symbol of what is hated and despised and as a representative of that country and system. It will only continue to grow until the people of that country overthrow the system under which they live and try something else...
Try living in Rio or Sao Paulo...the cops there work really hard to keep the streets reasonably safe, especially after dark and at dawn, the dumps are filled with the street scum. Now those are real cops, not vigilantes as the press tries to make them out to be.
A drug deal gone sour was my first thought; never met an 'honest' cop, especially in the Wash. DC area in all the years I lived there. Met only one true blue honest sheriff though...an ex Green Beret, before the crooked cops in the State of Maryland had him removed...he had refused to be 'on the take'. People jump too quickly to conclusions about police. Many are no better than those they try and take down; the uniform just makes it more legitimate.
Many were drafted into the Vietnam war. Whether any objected on religious grounds is unknown as are the numbers that may have served in the medical corps along with Christians that were conscientious objectors such as the Mormons, Mennonites, Quakers, and others, as I knew a few that served at the Cameron Bay base along with a couple of Buddhists and a Hindu The only religious group that is exempt from any military service , as far as I know, are the Amish . As far as I know, there never was any discrimination of any kind in regards to a draftee's religion other than not making it difficult to serve in a non- combative sense. This is also fairly widespread in various countries in regards to military service around the world.
Legally speaking, it was strictly a criminal act under New York City statutes of their criminal justice system. As of this day, there is still no formal declaration of war either verbally or act of Congress, which then would constitute legal grounds for this alleged 'mastermind' to be tried by any military jurisdiction; to underline just how ridiculous it would be is that why not then have all drug offenses be tried by the military courts as there exists an alleged 'war on drugs' that has been declared by various regimes of US Presidents since the 70's... (I'm betting that this alleged 'mastermind' will plead 'diminished capacity'...proving that he is not any type of 'mastermind'... if in fact he even has a mind at all... )
There is an old saying among Arabic peoples: 'Tell the truth even though it be against yourself' one avoids that predicament by not concealing anything, especially from someone you profess to love...
No coherent answer choice, so I'll agree with the above. I do work with more than several in these age ranges; dating any would be terribly and utterly boring...absolutely nothing in common or able to relate to.
