RE: Hugo Chavez Captures a American Merc.....it is ......

This is starting to remind me of all the garbage in Luanda, Angola back in 1976 with the trials and executions of ten British mercs, including the Cypriot Greek George Georiou, aka "Col. Calan" who also killed fellow mercs and the one poor US vietnam vet who got caught, having just arrived there, Daniel Gearheart. SOF magazine staff where the only ones that tried to get him out with legal help...Very sad story. I still feel so sorry for him and his family. Others, including several more US vets from Vietnam managed to elude the Angolan commies until finally picked up by SA recce SAS troops and brought everyone to Salisbury. It was a long and bloody run. Only 9 out of 35 made it out. (RIP)

RE: The World War III, about to start

You don't know that and neither do I; there is never telling where it will spill over or cause it to spread into areas that would surprise anyone. It doesn't really make any difference in the end anyway, no one escapes death.

RE: the Irish love America

a 'green card' for Ireland...a pun??? laugh
A green card will only get you one session with a Leprechaun and perhaps a fake 4 leaf clover and a glass of green beer...geez, what more could one ask for...one of the lovely Irish women, perhaps...laugh

RE: ex con

Both by all legal and moral codes, nearly all all countries have continually been in total violation of all the Nuremberg protocols...so please leave those useless fantasy land dictates to those who still believe in the Disney world... or in a world governed by the ideals of the UN.

RE: ex con

Aha...now we are getting to the real problem; there is not a single non overcrowded jail in North America...it goes without saying that when society changes, either for the better or for the worse, more people are locked up for more offenses because of more newer laws, now why is that?
Society here, as a whole is not falling apart nearly as rapidly as new laws against something are being passed; why the rush and increase for new laws...who is pushing for them and in this age of seemingly 'austerity', where is the money to hire all the newly needed law enforcers when police departments all over are even closing down stations...nevermind, just arrest people who may be guilty of something have a judge send them off to a jail to be fed and clothed by public taxes...something is wrong here...perhaps the people in nominal charge have lost all real control and should all be themselves locked up...at their own expense, not the public's. Time for the jailers to be the jailed, I think.wine

RE: ex con

Are you implying that jails are full of people not normal and that 'normal' people sent there are changed into 'not normals' ie. 'abnormals' If so, then perhaps the real problem is with the jails as being not normal, as in rehabilitation but mere facilities for increasing the not normal people population to be released into the general population to cause more mayhem through deviant behavior...then again, that just may be the whole purpose of the jail system; to create more abnormal deviants...ya think?doh grin

RE: THUMBS UP OR DOWN

That must be the one with Clive Owen as Arthur...much better than Sean Connery's version! By far!
If you are into ancient or medieval England, I found Ironclad,(James Purefoy), about 98% historically accurate which made it delight for me. It concerns what happened after the signing of the Magna Carta and to King John; it is those types of details in History that fascinate me to end!
Another is Centurion , just as the last of the last Legion in Britain was to leave; and then there is Eagle Of The North with Channing Tatum...based on an old story; about time it was made!
If History seems a bit dry, there is always History of the World by Mel Brooks...just great and somewhat accurate!rolling on the floor laughing
The worst had to be Helen Of Troy with Brigitte Bardot...should have been called Helen Of (or The) Toy...She had a 'thingy' for Ajax and you never Paris like this! never mind what the Greeks really left at the Trojan's gate...rolling on the floor laughing Look them up and enjoy!wine

RE: ONLINE.....INVESTIGATIONS........

The best way to inquire is to write or e-mail Inspector Clouseau of The French Surety, located in Paris,(Quai Dorset) . They are used to handling such requests and will only be too happy to forward your letter or e-mail. He is the world's best defective and now also has his own private business with an international clientele of the world's 'who's who'. From what I understand, his rates are very modest; you will have to cover all his restaurant bills however in addition to his daily rates. Go for the best, you only are entitled to the best. (He reads and speaks Hindi and 40 other languages...so tell him ALL your problems about Love matters!) Bon Chance!grin wine

If there is such a thing as Freedom of Speech,it ought to cut both ways!
Even though,in this Case it sure peeved the Libs!laugh

I firmly believe that everyone should and must have the inalienable and even the unalienable right to say whatever they like about anything or anyone, at any time or anyplace they feel moved to do so. In fact, I'd go so far as to make it a mandatory obligation by law!
This is the ultimate in 'freedom of speech'...speak now or forever hold your piece while you rot in a jail for failing to voice your opinion no matter what and regardless of your mental faculties ...or lack thereof...
grin #@%*&!!!wine

RE: The Most Dangerous Animal

Humankind is far more dangerous to ALL life on this planet and most likely to any other we manage to reach...

RE: WHO SHOULD DECIDE IF A DEFENDANT IS MAD?

Why should the public suffer to pay their taxes to house, feed clothes and sustain the life of such an individual?! That is ludicrous.
There are many islands around this planet that these types could be forever exiled to and then leave them to rot along with others like them. Lots of warm islands and lots of uninhabited islands within the arctic circle...a good place for them or use an island that someone's Navy uses for target practice...

RE: Secret Society Thread

Well that depends on whether I have to wear one of those monk type robes with the hood, but then, I could still wear my sequined loincloth and carry my spear even while chanting the Latin version of the Lumberjack song by Monty Python and being flogged by Witchwaywoman with her whip of satin strands...ahhh, "Rubber bells! Beat the cotton gongs, strike the silken cymbals'( an' whip me with the satin cat-'o- nine tails!'
