I would say that too much emphasis is placed on being "in love". I think you can fall in like, I think you can fall in lust.
But to be in love takes time and a whole lot of patience. And I believe that you have to be in proximity to one another, go through difficulties with one another, and triumphs before you fall in love.
online is like a Microwave that cooks the food, but it is never quite right. Real love is like a convection oven. It takes longer but it is so much better.
Agreed. I hate Norton's with everything that is in me. It is the equivalent of a 3 year old saying MINE MINE MINE to viruses or anything else legitimate, and it is a resource hog.
Where as good antivirus stands at the door of your computer like a security guard and checks credentials before it lets it on.
After losing so much over the last couple of years - both my parents, my best friend, my marriage, I have begun to take an inventory.
As I look at the relationships in my life, how would life change if XYZ person were no longer in it?
By doing this inventory, I plan on letting people know who I consider to be invaluable to me and why. I do not want to ever take anyone for granted.
And I am also asking them the tough questions. Do they have a will, have they done what it takes to make sure their families are provided for when they are gone? Have the documented these things so that someone can handle the business of their estate on their passing.
My parents did a good job of communicating their wishes through an estate plan. My friend, an attorney, did virtually nothing to help his family.
No more taking for granted. I thought, if anyone, that he would have done the paperwork. It costs so little to make a will and have life insurance.
The interesting thing is, if a guy waits till an "opportune time" to share his problems, and that "opportune time" doesn't come for months, then we are hiding something.
But getting the problems out in the open at the start is a more honest thing to do and may be a road block for them to let their guard down until they do share it and get the reaction.
Lucious, I am a dr.. The first question I always ask is how. I am not paid to get emotional about people. I am paid to treat them.
The emotion comes later.
As far as the middle east and how they behead, there are usually 2 executioners, one to hold the victim down, and they use a really sharp sword or axe.
I can't imagine one man easily beheading a conscious wife.
We have, in most areas been experiencing record lows across our country. If global warming were true, we would be experiencing a steady increase of temperatures over time.
Personally, while I am not a Christian, I do believe in God. I kind of think like Penn does of Penn and Teller.
He said that he thinks that any Christian who knows people are going to hell and yet they sit back and don't tell people how they can avoid it could not be filled with more hatred.
Fiction. Do a search of the hottest temperatures on record. You will see that most of the records were set in the 30s, a few in the 80s and 90s, none in the 2000s.
I say follow the money trail and you will see who is talking the loudest.
As there are so many anti-religion people on this board, this is probably not the best place to get an honest answer.
For me, while not religious now, I do have an understanding of many. I would not consider Mormon theology to mainstream by any stretch of the imagination and most attending protestant or catholic church would consider their doctrine to be heretical.
RE: Hi I'm in trouble and need advice!
I hear the hills between Afghanistan and Pakistan are nice this time of year.
