RE: Hi I'm in trouble and need advice!

I hear the hills between Afghanistan and Pakistan are nice this time of year.

RE: Men Do Cry???????????????????

I ball like a baby sometimes especially after a come down from a particularly stressful event, or during some movies.

I cried at the end of Marley and Me and all through Fireproof.

RE: Spybot S&D

I have no viruses. I use a program called Deep Freeze. No possibility of viruses here.

RE: Spybot S&D

I don't use anything. And I haven't had a virus in years. I edit my own registry, and I don't open emails with attachments.

RE: is it possible to fall in love chatting online

I would say no.

I would say that too much emphasis is placed on being "in love". I think you can fall in like, I think you can fall in lust.

But to be in love takes time and a whole lot of patience. And I believe that you have to be in proximity to one another, go through difficulties with one another, and triumphs before you fall in love.

online is like a Microwave that cooks the food, but it is never quite right. Real love is like a convection oven. It takes longer but it is so much better.

RE: Spybot S&D

Agreed. I hate Norton's with everything that is in me. It is the equivalent of a 3 year old saying MINE MINE MINE to viruses or anything else legitimate, and it is a resource hog.

Where as good antivirus stands at the door of your computer like a security guard and checks credentials before it lets it on.

RE: How did Mary become pregnant?

Agreed

My thought for the day

After losing so much over the last couple of years - both my parents, my best friend, my marriage, I have begun to take an inventory.

As I look at the relationships in my life, how would life change if XYZ person were no longer in it?

By doing this inventory, I plan on letting people know who I consider to be invaluable to me and why. I do not want to ever take anyone for granted.

And I am also asking them the tough questions. Do they have a will, have they done what it takes to make sure their families are provided for when they are gone? Have the documented these things so that someone can handle the business of their estate on their passing.

My parents did a good job of communicating their wishes through an estate plan. My friend, an attorney, did virtually nothing to help his family.

No more taking for granted. I thought, if anyone, that he would have done the paperwork. It costs so little to make a will and have life insurance.

RE: Hottest Guy on The thread

Well then you are just biased. confused

RE: Would you date a man on here if he spills his problems within a few minutes?

The interesting thing is, if a guy waits till an "opportune time" to share his problems, and that "opportune time" doesn't come for months, then we are hiding something.

But getting the problems out in the open at the start is a more honest thing to do and may be a road block for them to let their guard down until they do share it and get the reaction.

RE: Hottest Guy on The thread

Are you still drunk from the other night?

Is sassy on crack?

RE: beheading

It sure seems like she has a vendetta against me. She is always bashing me on here, which is ridiculous when I have never done a thing to her.

I was merely telling you how my thought process works.

I think it is just a disingenuous to get so wrapped up in the pity of someone else when you didn't know the person.

We can all look at the situation with disgust as it is a disgusting crime.

I just wonder why all the venom from you.

RE: beheading

Lucious, I am a dr.. The first question I always ask is how. I am not paid to get emotional about people. I am paid to treat them.

The emotion comes later.

As far as the middle east and how they behead, there are usually 2 executioners, one to hold the victim down, and they use a really sharp sword or axe.

I can't imagine one man easily beheading a conscious wife.

Personally I think it is all sick.

RE: beheading

It will be interesting to find out if she was beheaded after she was dead or if she died from the beheading.

Not the easiest thing for one person to behead another person alive unless the person is unconscious.

I have seen some decapitations from car accidents before when I worked on an ambulance early in my career before I went back to med school. Brutal.

RE: Hottest Guy on The thread

How in the HELL I made it into this thread I will never know.

RE: My frustrations with Connecting Singles (and why I'm leaving Friday)

Somebody call the Whaaaaahmbulance!

RE: pick up lines

This doesn't work anymore.

Hey babe, you got a quarter?

Why?

Cuz my mama always told me if I ever fell in love, I better give her a call.

RE: Favorite Movie Endings

I saw the movie Fireproof this weekend. It had a great ending.

RE: Ladies, Let's Build a MAN! Men, we'll need your donations...

Abs or chest are probably my best features. Legs would be good, but I have nobby knees.

RE: Is this Church Legalism?

I see the first things as an opportunity to make sure people still feel connected. The 4th one though is a mistake and encourages confrontation.

RE: Global warming....Fact or fiction

We have, in most areas been experiencing record lows across our country. If global warming were true, we would be experiencing a steady increase of temperatures over time.

Look at this map.

RE: Anyone have any good or bad news to share today?

I have good news - Owen's new picture is hot - I just wish it was more clear.

RE: Shine Jesus Shine!

Could not agree with you more, mindful.

Personally, while I am not a Christian, I do believe in God. I kind of think like Penn does of Penn and Teller.

He said that he thinks that any Christian who knows people are going to hell and yet they sit back and don't tell people how they can avoid it could not be filled with more hatred.

RE: Why do you men view profiles without saying a word?

I don't go for the politically correct bs. Saying someone is "less attractive" is like saying someone is "less skinny."

If they are fat, they are fat. I am ugly, I have no problem saying I am ugly, nor do I have a problem saying anyone else is ugly.

Sometimes I click on someone's profile to learn more about them from forum posts. That doesn't require that I email them.

RE: Why do you men view profiles without saying a word?

Maybe we think the person is uglier and hell and don't want to respond. Maybe we see their preferences do not include us, or they are outside ours.

RE: Global warming....Fact or fiction

Fiction. Do a search of the hottest temperatures on record. You will see that most of the records were set in the 30s, a few in the 80s and 90s, none in the 2000s.

I say follow the money trail and you will see who is talking the loudest.

RE: funny foods..

Oh no. doh

RE: What song are you right now? PART 2.

I would have to say that this is me at the moment....

Harry Connick Jr. - Recipe for Love.

RE: Should I Continue To Go To This Church

As there are so many anti-religion people on this board, this is probably not the best place to get an honest answer.

For me, while not religious now, I do have an understanding of many. I would not consider Mormon theology to mainstream by any stretch of the imagination and most attending protestant or catholic church would consider their doctrine to be heretical.

RE: This is too funny!!

Do what, make a pact?

Sit their like a stooge while my best man did a strip tease like a woman?

Do a strip tease like a woman myself?

If my best man did that to me, I would be mortified, especially since my best friend is dead.
