Buddhist idea if memory serves me, and my favorite one. :] Unfortunately, my unhappiness comes from the disappointment of my social skills not being where I know they could be. Being reminded of 'failure' knocks me down a few more pegs. One day I'll beat it though, I'm certain. :]
I have two female friends, and they pulled these lines on me(on seperate days):
Friend1: "I'd want to date you if I were single." (Despite her rejecting me before she had begun dating her guy)
Friend2: "If I were straight I'd date you" (Total lesbian)
I believe they had good intentions of trying to help lift my mood(I've been a little mopey lately), but instead made me feel worse! I don't blame them, but ouch. That all aside, it seems the only girls that want to date me, are girls with excuses not to date me(so cruel!)
So you women out there, have any of you done this to guys before? Did it ever work in making the guy feel better, or is it just a product of my recent negativeness?
The one rebound relationship I had was a absolute failure at the end(it was a rebound for both of us), but it proved to be a catalyst for my current high standards.
Sometimes I wonder if they're too high, I haven't had a date since!
I think you're a cool guy. I can only wish you a quick recovery so one of my favorite posters here will continue spreading the brand of joy that only you have to offer.
RE: if you could be...
Once I reached the heavens I'd check out alien planets and chose something from one of those. I've had enough of this place!
