Science starts with a question and then hypothesis(sounds like religion to me so far), not evidence(that's step 4!) :P Just because you can't test something doesn't make it false, only indeterminable.
Maybe they're right, maybe they're not... it's fine with me that they believe... someday someone is going to be proven right! Think of it as an ongoing experiment.
I only have a half sister, and have had many step-siblings (most of which are ex-step siblings now)
The way it's been so far, I get along with my female siblings, but not the males. As far as being a black sheep, I'm definitely it. The only one in my entire family (and all but one of step family) to have collegiate aspirations. Music, art, math, science, cartoons, silliness; all things that only show up in my family tree with me.
Well, I don't really think I can say all of that. I never got to be around my mother, and it's only been the past year that I've had consistent contact with her. It turns out I'm just like she is :]
I guess I'm living proof too! But I think genetics will only give you a predisposition for traits, and as soon as they find a catalyst they're free. I'm pretty sure my dad would regret the day he bought that little 6 inch toy trumpet when I was about 6.. if he only knew then what would happen by the time I'm in middle school :D
He just put that in later to add drama; people like that stuff.
You don't really need to prove a belief, it's why there's faith. Even being more of a sciency guy myself, I still have some beliefs that have no base in any sort of reason other than it sounds good to me.

But I was 5(girl is same age). We would frequently have play dates because we seemed to get along well. In fact, she was the first person I ever played video games with. One day we were both sitting in a chair, and we looked at each other staring for a second, so I leaned down and gave her a two second tender kiss :]
When her mother came to pick her up and asked what we did that day, she exclaimed "We kissed!" And being a boy I naturally exclaimed back "NUH UH!" I hope I never forget any of this.
I'll have to disagree with you there, being a dork/geek is completely awesome. It's by no means a bad thing nowadays, at least to the people I enjoy being around :] The day I find a single geek girl that wants to date me is the day I'll dance like a madman in public (alas, subsequently it will cause her to lose interest).
Maybe if I didn't have equally as unfortunate luck in person. I wont let myself ever lose hope, but I had better find a damn good wife someday to make up for this!
I've tried several other dating sites before, and am now trying this one. So far with my time here, it's been the same old typical routine. I send nice emails to people that find my interest, only for them to be read and not replied to. In fact, the only time I ever get responses is from people I have no interest in dating, it's just them saying "thank you" to a compliment I had sent... because sometimes people deserve to be complimented :]
To this day (and it's been a good 2 years of dating sites) I have never received the initial email. I really don't know what's wrong here, do I seem like a serial killer or some nonsense?

Not only are they still produced, one was featured in a very popular anime (japanese cartoon). They're still a minor part in pop culture!
