It's funny (being sarcastic here) a lot of people around the world and leaders of other countries make fun or put down Americans and America...but when they are in need of Money or Aid or Military Support they are the first to ask us Americans for help...Hypocrites.
I'm American. I'm Proud To Be American. And I'm Proud Of What America Stand For...FREEDOM. Without Americans fighting in WW2 - Europe would have fallen to Germany and Asia including Australia would have fallen to the Japanese. And the world would have been a different place today and your life would have been different too. But I am against this war in the middle east but we have soldiers (and civilians) dying there every day and so I feel we need to push aside how we feel about it and give them our support for the sacrifice they are making because they can't go home and their lives are being played with. Such a waste.
Yes we have our annoying charateristics but so does people from other countries. Americans have done so much good over a century. So enough with the back stabbers and hypocrites.

Hey Chris - thanks for your reply! You are right - it's getting hot here in Australia. But I am from Chicago and I know all about COLD and SNOW - LOL. And I know about the rain and cold and unpredictable weather of Scotland - my friend lives there and I will be staying with her. I am bringing my waterproofs and warm clothing and I should be toasty and comfortable! Anyway - I am so excited about my trip - I think I will love Scotland!
