So you're charging me $43.56 for one word? At the rates you're charging I'd better call up my old Irish Landlady in Jamaica and get them lessons for free. It would be even cheaper that way. I'd teach you a few trini words but I don't want you biting off your tongue trying to pronouce them. And I would not charge you a cent. However must say the Irish accent is rather nice, even if the men charge a lot just to hear it.
Okay lets say that a person has a terminal illness and the praying to God(whoever they perceive God to be)provides them with a sense of comfort, is that wrong? They are probably well aware that there is no coming back from a terminal illness so you would deny someone this comfort simply because you do not believe in what they are doing? Everyone has a right to choose how they meet their end same as you. I'm sure the morphine helps - physically but what about their mental state? That's important too. Its not your way but it is the way of others. I see nothing wrong with taking drugs prescribed to relieve the pain, in fact the two can go hand in hand, the belief in something does not mean you are required to stop using your brain or commonsense. That's what I mean when I spoke about perception. People's PERCEPTION of what they THINK God is or isn't is what I think dictates whether they believe or not.
Well I believe God is something - just probably not what a lot of people expect. My question is why can't God exist? It all goes back to people's perceptions. In anycase I don't see why your disbelief would lead to deaths or illness among your family or friends.
Well its all depends on what you consider GOD to be now doesn't it. Anyway I believe god actually exists in my eyes and a couple other body parts as well.
Well heavens be praised! Steve I think you're a genius! The pic you sent is a godsend. I think you've just given me the answer to how our West Indian Cricket team can get back on top. All we need to do is have some of our ladies replace the men on the field and wear bikinis to the matches, those men won't stand a chance, I see wickets falling like rain - and I don't think those other teams like Australia, Enland, Pakistan will even care that they are losing once they get to watch these ladies in such good form. Yep I'm emailing your idea to the West Indies Cricket board as we speak! Thank you, thank you! You know its not every day you get to meet a genius.
Well one of my best friends in high school is married to a very nice Haitian guy, I wonder if he still has family there. Poor Haiti just has a long history of bad luck.
Er...I don't know where you got that pic from but those colours they are wearing look vaguely familiar - like the colours on the Jamaican Flag. I'm willing to bet these are Jamaicans - not Trinbagonians. There is no snow in Jamaica either, however the Jamaicans have sent people to take part in Bobsleding competitions at the Winter Olympics in Canada in 1988. Ever seen the movie Cool Runningswell that's about that team. We on the other hand are well known for our Soca Warriors(football team) and Brian Lara(cricketer).
SNOW? In the West Indies? Er.... we kinda only have two seasons here in Trinidad and Tobago dear - Dry and Wet. Can't picture coconut trees laden with snow or walking about on a lovely blue/green beach with the snow falling among the sand. In fact I've never had the pleasure of seeing snow. However its not my first time to your forums, I sometimes escape over the International forum walls when things get a bit dull.
RE: does god actually exist in your eyes
Well I call it the Earth's plates getting a bit fiesty.
