Being on an international dating site means meeting people from all over the world who might become potential partners. If you meet someone and you live many miles away, how do you keep it going especially if you've never met. Relationships with someone living in the same country as you can be hard, but doubly hard if one of you is living half a world away. Not everyone wants to or can travel and often times you don't plan who you fall in love with. How could things be worked out? How long would you wait if conditions at the present were not ideal? Would you wait or just try to find someone local? How far would you go for love? While there is the phone, e-mail etc... nothing quite beats the being there is person. Many of us here might not think about it until we find ourselves in this situation. How do you keep the romance alive?
Nicely put Rilly. Remember the good old days of snail mail, before the computer and the internet? When one picked out lovely stationery and wrote with calligraphic pens, you know all those special touches that kept romance alive across the waves. Guess we've forgotten how it used to be. Couldn't have said it better myself.
So Youz having problems with these ladies not writing to you. No Problem man, you hire me I whack dem for you. I whack them good wheet my leekle steek. I make dem write you okay Now you got cash or card? Me accept.
Who was NOT affected by 9/11? We lost people as well in this Tragedy and the world certainly changed after that. We here know first hand the awful thing that terrorism is, having already experienced it. To those who died. It is not the thing itself but what we LEARN from the thing that has happened.
I was living in Jamaica when this happened, I was at home and my house mate called from work and said turn on the television, I turned on just in time to see the second plane hit. I thought I was watching a movie, it was so unreal. I saw many things that reminded me of our experience here. We had already had our own brush with Terrorism in 1990 in T&T when a muslim group attempted a coup. There were bombings, curfews and stand off with the military, people killed, and 9/11 just brought back memories since no one saw it coming. When it was all over our Capital was a disaster area. Terrorism is a horrible thing. Having seen it up close and personal I can only imagine what New Yorkers went through on a larger scale. 9/11 was a turning point in history.
