Can any computer predict an earthquake? The worlds most powerful computer cannot predict an earthquake at this time in history, we just don't know how to analyse the data to make a valued prediction. Maybe in 50plus years, but by then California will be under the sea, according to most predictions
I think expected tipping is wrong, the whole point of tipping was to show appreciation for a job well done, but now some use tipping to supplement paying low wages, and many just expect to receive a tip just for doing their job. Thankfully tipping in China is rare and never expected.
You entirely missed my point, not sure I can make it any simpler. Blaming all those of a different country/religion/colour for terrorism is like blaming all USA citizens who own a gun for the atrocities that happen on a regular basis. Only a fool would do that
It doesn't matter what you or I "title" Islam, the concept is the same. If you are supporting the idea that anyone can have a gun, then by the same principle anyone should be allowed to have a belief, it is the extreme use of the gun or belief that should be stopped.
By definition, Islam is the RELIGION followed by Muslims.
As clarified by the Oxford Dictionary.
religion
noun the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods. "ideas about the relationship between science and religion" synonyms: faith, belief, divinity, worship, creed, teaching, doctrine, theology; a particular system of faith and worship. plural noun: religions "the world's great religions" a pursuit or interest followed with great devotion. "consumerism is the new religion"
Americans believe anyone has the right to own and use a gun, in the words of the foremost authority, “it is not the gun that is the problem, it is the people who use them incorrectly” But many push an agenda to malign those wanting guns.
The same is true about Islam, the UK believes anyone has the right to have and use any religion, but because some use a religion incorrectly, so the whole spectrum of that religion gets tainted.
Basically anyone that supports the right to carry a gun, by logical reasoning, must also support Islam, for exactly the same reasons.
Sadly the hatred for Muslims around the world is exacerbated by those with little education or simple understanding, they cannot see that it is not the religion that is the problem, but those that use the religion falsely, to their own ends.
Alas in the UK violence is indeed increasing, but it has little to do with any religion, but far more to do with a society and culture that clash with other societies and cultures and a growth in accepting violence as a norm, as in the USA for example.
In my experience, people who vehemently deny something are invariably those who have been the most deeply affected. In a similar vein, people who hold ardent opinions of themselves, can rarely see themselves as others see them, so have a deceptive perception of their real personality.
Everyone is unique, while at the same time, everyone is conventional!
From what I have been reading the swamp is draining itself without any help from Trump, soon there will be a draught and then the bushfires will start and with no one left to put them out it will be the end of America as we know it.
Thanks for the reply, It may be just me but the side menu was easy to use and the black background made it easier for me to read the text, I rarely accessed the polls or Blogs because they were a strain on my eyes. Now I find the same with the forum. I think it is a mistake, but appreciate that it could just be me affected.
I agree with Conrad, the return of the like/unlike thumbs, they will cause more arguments than any political/religious thread, and IMO are not needed on this type of forum.
The new forum may look a little better, but losing the side menu makes it harder to select recent topics or to move easily to different country forums. Now that the polls and forums are identical why not merge them together ? Pointless having two separate headings.
Yes , but he was talking during an interview about his life right now, that he wanted to enjoy the little freedom he had at this time and that he had no desire to want his father dead, he then went on to say how much he missed his mother and that if his father was taken away right now he was not sure he could cope with that loss. But of course the media cut that bit out and sensationalised his comments.
I think William and his wife will make a fine King and Queen, but I also respect Charles and his desire to help those less fortunate, for example, the Prince's Trust, that has helped thousands over the years.
On balance I would say my life had greater enjoyable times than bad ones. the last 15 years have been wonderful, my only regret is I didn't make the changes sooner.
Henry VIII was divorced and was King of England David married simpson, so Harry can marry whomsoever he wishes Harry is third in line for the throne, therefore unlikely to ever be king, Especially if William has children. As to whether the Queen will attend, there is no reason for her not to, unless illness occurs, the same as for his father the Prince of Wales, but some media love to create negative speculation, it sells! The Royal family moves with the times, unlike some people who think the laws of a bygone era should be valid in the 21st century.
RE: How could Prins Charles be king as he was divorced. His uncle gave up the throne to marry Wallis S.
Must have been a blond moment, of course she would be Duchess of Cornwall.
