Religionists have been claiming an angry, vicious, murderous, jealous, feelings easily hurt, blasphemable, eternal condemning, obsessed with foreskins, bullying, threatening god, exists. The response from skeptical minds has been,,, PROVE IT. Often with great harm done to them by these loving religionists, all in the name of god. The onus of proof is on religionists,,, they are the ones who made the outrageous claims to begin with.
Find out? Not necessarily. If for instance after one dies it is like before we were conceived, we simply don't exist. There will not be a "we" to "find out" anything. From all available evidence, that, is the likely scenario.
I don't "believe" in science, I "know" science to have uncovered many truths, including a global, rather then flat, earth, older then 6 or 12,000 years. Science is not a religion. It deals in proofs, not faith.
My point was that this faith one might have in traffic is not the same as faith in a god. I do have a realistic sense of "apprehension" and "fear" when I drive, however slight. Experience, factual knowledge, has taught me that, I have plenty of proof that it is fairly safe to drive in traffic but also plenty of proof that there are crazy drivers out there etc. That's why I'm careful behind the wheel and keep a constant lookout,,, Faith in a god is faith in something there is no proof of one way or the other. Your "I don't know" reply is correct IMO. Personally I'm not a big fan of many these rituals. I really dislike looking at a dead body of a loved one, it's really not him/her anymore, he/she is not there, I don't want that to be my last memory of that person. Christmas is just a depressing, materialistic fiasco. Marriage ceremonies are pretty nice. They don't have to be in a church IMO.
Gotta love that "infinite" number of universes theory .. Boggles the mind kinda like God and eternity.... By "believing" there is an infinite number of universes, these theorists are making a religion out of science,,, Something some scientists have been wanting to do. Is there a world our consciousness makes sense of ? Or does our consciousness create the world we please ?

"Knowing" that the sun will come up and that drivers will stay in their lane has a lot more to do with factual "knowledge" then "faith". We "know" from long experience that these things are true. Of course there is some element of doubt, the sun might blow up and some driver might have a heart attack. As far as "faith" in the existence of God, a creator of everything goes, there is an equal amount of doubt in that. Doubt that the faithful must and do deny. I mean, if there is a God who created everything exists, then who or what created this God? That has got to be a question in anyones mind except for the "faithful" who dare not ask due to various "religious" reasons, I have noticed in my life. Deep fear of eternal condemnation, without a doubt. Faith in eternal condemnation or if you have "faith" then maybe you'll end up in a nice place. The real truth is,,, nobody knows what there is after death or what there was before the big bang or what started the big bang. Even Jesus did not know. The only thing I "know" is that there is that mystery, and that mystery IS GOD without a doubt. No faith necessary,,,, It's the god of religion that does not exist.

He's scaring you, you fear violence may be there, you should be scared, so run like hell.. You need not feel guilty in this case IMO. Why do you?
There are things I do and did as a human that I feel guilty about, guilt is a good thing, it keeps me from doing it again. Hopefully Sometimes I repeat and have to learn lessons the hard way. So I feel guilty and badly, and in time forgive myself. I learn to live with myself. Personally, I would not want a relationship where I would have to air my whole life to meet someones approval.
A scenario I'd like to see on the news would be a bunch of bystanders banding together, and beating these punks to within an inch of their lives,, Or a news report where some punk with a gun in a school gets gunned down by a teacher before he/she has a chance to kill.
I'm not saying the media are purposely promoting this sick behavior. But they are spreading the news to every sicko who is just jumping at the chance to get his/her minute of fame. It's not just the news media,, but also the internet,,, It's a real problem... Like school shootings,, there are many copycats that follow the news reports.
