If you have raised them and loved them, there isn't a court, or person, or power in the universe that can take their love for you away; the bond between a daughter and father spans galaxies, planes of existence, and all time itself.
My condolences on your mothers passing during such a difficult time. I cannot begin to imagine what you must be feeling. If the motion to continue the hearing was denied, at least to my knowledge, there isn't much you CAN do but have your children wait in the lobby of teh courtroom during the hearing. A deputy will most definitely be there to keep an eye on them.
I am not surprised by the courts insensitivity; historically, the court almost always submits to the whim of the female, sorry to say. I may be going through a custody battle soon due to the fact that her mother and I haven't been getting along lately, and she is getting vindictive.
I wish you nothing but the best, and sincerely feel for you. I will be thinking of you tonight and concentrating on sending you the blessings of the universe.
And remember, we are never given more than we can handle, we just have to find a was to deal with the adversity and live another day. For ourselves, firstly; and for the ones we hold dearest to our heart.
Good luck, my intrepid friend. Stay powerful and believe; providence will follow.
I can't drink like normal people. The first drink leads to an empty bottle, and me wandering drunkenly to the store for the next. And when that one is gone, I repeat the process until I am either blacked out or broke, in which case I turn into a raving, a**hole of a lunatic.
Yeah, they have thos whole "topping bar", with onions, jalepenos, etc etc... I think in some states they use those nachos to put down sick and injured race horses.
When I was hopping freight, we used to buy a soda cup for a quarter, and fill it to the brim with the "chili" and "cheese", because all the machines used to say "Free Chili and Cheese".
Then corporate changed the sign to read "Free Chili and Cheese WITH PURCHASE OF NACHOS". And yes, I probably drank at least 12 super big gulp cups full of that crap in my day. I can never eat those nachos again.

Enya is great... when the ex wife was pregnant, we played it for the bun in the oven, and as lulabyes for her first 3 years, until she began developing her own musical taste.
Now she listens to Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and the Misfits... not cos we made her, either. Good taste for a 7 year old, I would say... and she also thinks Hannah Montana "Is yucky music, daddy!"
I met the daughter of my child at a "crowd gathering". A bunch of guys were hitting on her, and she just walked up next to me and said "Sorry, THIS is my boyfriend". She was using me to keep the other guys away, which worked.
But I ended up falling in love with her, and 2 years later, the best thing that ever happened to us occoured!
