Having your health is a great gift, I am happy, I am not rich, but oh well. I am not a lot of the things this poll is about, because I don't want all that. I would like to not feel so crappy all the time.

One you left out and is a big concern for me, is being healthy. I suffer from debilitating migraines, and I am never well. I would rather be healthy than anything else.

Exactly, I was dragged here many, many years ago by someone who thought the forums were fun. So I packed a bag and set up camp and make an appearance now and again...even after all these years.

That's nice of you to say, but that picture was taken in 2014. I do have a newer one on my profile, I think I am too old to remember. I am usually the one behind the camera, so not too many are taken of me and I don't do selfies.

I love this! My last boyfriend (well second to last - we don't speak of the last one ) has skated since he was a kid and was really good at one time, he still skates, but I am not too impressed. I've seen videos of him when he was really good. Old age caught up to him....

We were in Virginia last March and my daughter and I were telling her husband who is from Virgina (slight accent) that the people in the store had the cutest accents, we couldn't get over it. My son-in-law said, "y'all have accents to them, they were probably thinking what crazy accents you have!" The disagreements began!

I do collect Franciscan Ware "Apple Pattern" my grandma had a set and on the American TV series "I Dream of Jeannie" she had it too. I have about 40 pieces, but I only have a few of the coffee cups and that is what I really want more of. I forgot that I collect that stuff...until I see it. Dang it. I think I have a problem. My china hutch is filled with my swans and non-china related stuff. But then my son is in the military and he sends me great stuff from all over the world. Gotta have them behind glass!

I collected swans in so many different forms; now I have a china hutch full of them...so I've stopped that and then started collecting bankers lamps, and for some reason, other lamps keep appearing, train cases, some vintage suitcases. Now I've got too many lamps; one banker lamp is sitting precariously on top of four suitcases at a slant.

On another note. I do have a floor lamp and two suitcases that were Tom Hanks' mom Janet. She lived in our little town and sadly passed away a year and a half ago, she was such a sweet lady and always so gracious when people stopped and asked her something about Tom. I went to her estate sale. I had always drove passed her little house when I took my daughter to daycare, and she always had a lamp on early in the morning when I drove by. When I was at the estate sale, I asked one of the guys putting it on if he knew the layout of the living room before the sale and which lamp was in the corner which I pointed to. He told me which one and so I got it; it has a brass base and is very heavy. It in my doorway when I come in, and I always turn it on first thing in the morning just for Janet.

Oh my gosh! I remember when we went to high school and the guys (mostly) had the rifles and gunracks. And nope not one would take out a gun to use it. Nor did their trucks get broken into. Crazy times now!

On November 14, 2017, my sister texted me and asked if my grandchildren were okay, I asked why she said there was a shooting in my county at one of the schools. I got on the computer and saw that it was in Rancho Tehama, it is out in the middle of nowhere, and this guy was on a rampage (my grandchildren don't go to this school). He had killed his wife the night before stuffing her under his trailer, which wasn't found until later in the day on the 14th. The next day the 14th he starting shooting people, the little tiny school went on lockdown, and he shot at the walls since he couldn't get in. Only one child there was injured through the wall. Others weren't so lucky outside the school on the road.

He shot a woman in her truck as she was taking her boys to school, the woman's two boys were also shot, and her two-year-old was injured by glass, she had been shot five times trying to shield her son who was in the front seat. She was trying to drive herself to the hospital which would be in my town, a heck of a long way to go, but she tried to flag four cars down to help to say she was shot. This is where it gets ugly.

I will copy and paste what happened, and I am ashamed to be in the same county as these lowlifes:
Continuing to drive though seriously injured, Phommathep said she
tried multiple times to flag down passersby but no one would help her.
She said one woman told her she was late to work so she couldn't help,
and kept driving. She then pleaded with another driver, who told her he
would help, but then drove off.
"I said 'I'm shot, can you help
me, my body's going numb, I can't drive anymore,' and he said, yes,
he'll make a U-turn, but he just sped off and it just broke my heart,"
she told the station, crying.
She said she stepped out of her
vehicle four times in total to try and stop four different people, none
of whom stopped to help her.
Eventually, she was able to flag down a sheriff's official responding to the elementary school, who called for ambulances.
"I used all the strength that I had and when I finally stopped the sheriff, I didn't have much strength to get out. I opened my door and told him to just check on my kids because no one was willing to help," she said.




The sheriff official who did stop I knew from work as I worked for the courthouse for 17 years. It was a horrific time for our little county. Six adults and six children were wounded that day. Five people were killed and also the gunman by the LE (law enforcement) in a shootout. By the Grace of God, the school was fast in getting it all locked down as it was early morning. And the teachers and school officials were the heroes there. All of the LE are the heroes to stop this guy and to call in for an ambulance for this poor woman. Good Lord, who does this to someone who's been shot not stop to help?

People are crazy. This man was, so were the four individuals who would not stop to help this woman, those four have to live with themselves and their shame.

Exactly on that concerning criminals, who will have them no matter what. In this article, these people said they would rather get caught by the police with a gun then their enemies. Very sad situation.

If guns were outlawed, only the criminals would have guns. It would be mayhem to say the least. What we need is better mental health for these people committing the crimes, but whose to say who is crazy?

No, they just do "drive-by" shootings. Like in Chicago, in 2016 they had 4,331 shooting victims, where are the shootings mostly? The south side.
