Do you have a swimming pool? I always found the best cure (in the morning not while you are drunk) to just dive in head first:) the cold water does wonders to the system. Hope you feel better soon :)
from a friend, very far away. I had lost a brother recently, he had mailed me to ask how I was and when I mailed him my news, he sent a lovely flower with a message. I may never meet him, but he is a friend like so many on CS, a genuinely nice guy :)
I am the older woman in my current relationship, first time with a younger man, we met on line, clicked and have been seeing each other for a year and so far so good:) I finally get the saying "age makes no difference"
It certainly is hard to find someone at this age. I went to a single new years eve party last night....woman outnumbered the men by 10-1 all in the same boat, hoping to meet that special someone...the impossible dream? yes perhaps it is.
Happy 2012 and lets hope that someones dreams here on CS come true
so many of us look good for our age, but not all of like You feel we have to place a post to try and get compliments.....all your post are the same.....boring after a while....JMO
yes, I think the forum regulars are in the 50 bracket, but lots of younger people, god knows I get enough mail from young guys....they think we older women are Mrs Robinson
Me too, have had lots of dates, met some really nice guys (some have become friend) but none that "elusive one" My friends think I am crazy to be on a dating site, but you what, I can honestly say the guys I have met are better than any of the local men that live around my area - then again maybe I am not looking hard enough to home? If he is out there, he will find me - eventually
My eldest brother, was married for 35 years, and lost his wife to an incurable disease.....she was the love of his life.....he was lost without her.....then, he lost his son, unbearable......just as the autum years of his life were passing by....he was reacquainted with a neighbour.....a woman who had also lost her partner.....they became friends......lovers......and next week, they are to be married, he is 67, she is 70......a true love story.....love, for both of them, second time around, bitter sweet
Education, does not by all means make someone intelligent.....some academic people have fine minds but sometimes have no basic common sense intelligence....yes we need to be with someone who we can converse with, feel comfortable with and can relate to and I can understand that. Being comfortable with your own skin too, is just as important.....
Looks play a big part in chemistry and physical attraction.....some big girls are pretty.....you never mentioned size - just that she must be pretty.....would I want someone overweight? have dated a couple of big guys - South Africa is full of big guys.....if they were obese, then I guess not.....
We all have our own living to make, whatever the job....I am a single mum, have been for some years now with no financial help from the ex......I have a fairly good job, it pays the bills.....I dont look for money in a partner either......but believe a true partnership each support the other....whats mine is his and whats his is mine.....sharing....Poor? as long as you have a roof over your head, food in your stomach and somewhere to lay your head at night.....thats rich in many peoples eyes!
Money is not the be all and end all, the guy I have been dating lost his job recently, and its been tough trying to get another....he was'nt any rocket scientist or anything, his profession was not what attracted me to him......but we are on the same wavelength, emotionally, spiritually and physically.....while he is out of work....I support him as best as I can.....cooking hima meal, budget grocery shopping:)
I lived in SA, plenty of work around for those who want it...menial or not.....you dont actually way what you do.....and looking for a pretty girl, not too intelligent? why? would she overshadow your intelligence if she was? Educated does not and is not all about qualifications.....life experience can mean so much more than a certificate.....guess you are British! That says a lot!
You wont find a girl with that sort of statement.....
Glad the surgery is out of the way, positive thoughts for the results and treatment to come.....I have often though you a pain in the neck - but never the back :) only kidding Jeeps.....get well soon, looking forward to seeing you back on line so soon.
So many CS peeps on here sending so much genuine thoughts, I have been amazed to read them all and so glad I decided to join in the forums.....CS peeps, your the best :) always there for each other :
