RE: women

I may be wrong but I don't know any european country with laws allowing religious outfits...and allowing this or that religious costumes.

We had in my country a law under which it was forbiden to be in the street or any public spaces with the face covered. I don't know if that law exists but under the actual laws the police can request identification to any citizen and they will request to see the face of any person, man or woman. If I see one or two men in the street with their face covered I just run away...

RE: women

If a muslim woman is or not free while she wearing a Burka, it is not my concern any more. Each society has its own time to change and adjust its costumes, rules, traditions. The muslim women must know what is the best to them and learn about their rights. I am not fighting their struggle or teaching them what is the best.
My best can not be their best...

BUT, in Roma be Roman, we have learnt this since very old days, when the most of Europe was under the Roman Empire. Sorry to say in my country I am deeply against it. No faces covered, women or man, with burka or with any other thing. Because it is against our culture, our tradition and because of SECURITY REASONS.

I must say in Muslims countries you have all the right NOT to allow some kind of fashion women use to ware in the "western countries", like shorts or minis, etc. If I don't want to change my way of dressing, I am free not to go to any muslim country.

If I go to a mosque and I have visited two, I take my shoes and I make sure I cover my head. I don't go into any religious temple without covering my head. It is my expression of respect for other people beliefes.

The burka has nothing to do with the Muslim religion. As far as I am aware, it is not written in the Koran a woman must cover their face. It comes from old traditions in some cultures.

RE: Can u name a muslim country which is democratic?

I know oil is used for many thing, not only energy, but energy is the nain one.

For me the most important richness is science!

You may have something to teach me about political systems. This "democratic" system in my country is finished and unable to answer to the actual crisis.

Later one I will search in Net the Constitution of your country. I may learn something. We need new ideas.

dunno confused

Thanks Conrad

RE: Can u name a muslim country which is democratic?

I am inviting you to read again my previous post, but do it well, without hate in your hart.

I am not in a democratic country I don't believe in this "democracy" of two parties...

You need to read more about the health services in USA...and the insurance health system.

I don't support any foreign military operation in any country.

And, please, learn something about the RICHENESS of oil. With the fast development of other forms of energy this richness may turn SOON, VERY SOON, into dirty black garbage.

Thank you.
Rose

RE: Can u name a muslim country which is democratic?

I can't agree more with your well opinion. Thank you.bouquet handshake

RE: Can u name a muslim country which is democratic?

It is amazing how we citizens of the so called developed world see democracy and we can classify a country as being democratic or not!!!

I am sorry but for me democracy is much more then the right to vote in “free” elections. It is also housing, basic health services, education, FOOD, healthy children, freedom of religion, security and freedom of choice. Democracy is the freedom of having a mind enough comfortable with all the nutrients and to be able of think rationally, it is being able and have the strength to fight against brain wash.

Freedom in Bangladesh, in Indonesia, in the west bank of Gaza!!! I don’t laugh because this is dramatic.

What a poor opinion we have about democracy. As we say in my country it is easy to talk when our stomach is full.

I am in a country which is not democratic, Portugal, we are facing in these last years a dictatorship of a restrict number of political parties.
grin doh devil

RE: The "C" word

My mother with the age of 78 has removed a skin cancer, the same type - basel cell carcinoma, last September. It was a surgery with local anestesy, she could come home the same day...

So far she didn't do any thing else, not any aditional treatement and she is fine (and bossy...), doing her normal life and taking care of herself as always.

We know exactly why my mother had this cancer, it came from her childhood, a stupid treatment they where doing does days.

Be happy and relax this cancer is not a bad one...it will be just a small "cut". You will be well. Your doctor said the truth, it is a tretable form of cancer. It is NOT a melanoma...

Cancer is as any other illness. We have to face them.

From now on you must have special care on your skin and don't get sunshine. Your are in Cyprus...no more going to the sea side without a shade on you. Ask your doctor.

RE: Libya - Latest Updates

The second flight of the portuguese air force arrived this morning in Lisbon from Tripoli, with the second group of portuguese, plus some citizens from other countries.

We didn't have any problem...
Some of the passengers said the media is making more noise then the real situation. They want to go back when the problem is solved...

RE: What makes you think that you are special?

I din't fail in my past relations. I have no blame, I don't blame anybody. I have great memories of my past relationships, they were all great guys...

I am not a very special person, I am just me, I am not looking for the "special" one, I am looking for a normal, decent, and sensitive man.

Period and no dramas.

RE: The Excuse Game!

Can somebody get me some tea? Not the one in "bags", the real tea...one of the few things I can not find in this little town!!!

TEA, please!

RE: Dog Accessories vs Human Poverty

Like you I like to play the Devil advocate.

I am not going to say what I have done in life to help people...but just the last one: I have offered my house to receive people from an International Organization. It was two months ago. So far no contact.

In my country we have a problem with institutions in big cities, but there are places avaiable in institutions in the country or in country towns. Very few people who needs help accept to come to the country and I am talking about little towns with medical center, schools, sport facilities. Decent places.

A few years ago a Mayor of a town in the country, with a serious problem of inhabitants gave houses, jobs, places in the school for the children, to a group of migrant families from Brazil. They didn't stay more then one year there. The place in lovely, but around just forest.

RE: Monogamy

Alpha men! I have never heard about this new species!

So you mean Alpha men are the caveman?

RE: Home Sweet Home... (I think)

Many years ago I just left my job and I went to Africa with my son, little child those days... Everybody said I was "mad". I had that job for 12 years... It was the best decison and the best five years of my life, despite being in a country with war. I got an enormous expirience in many fields.

When I came back I had some good professional opportunities.

The company was closing the gates and a lot of my former collegues they were not able to do any else apart of working all their life in the same company, doing the same job. I 'll never forget those who have commited suicide...

Then I got used to "jump" from one town to the next one, in my own country, just to get a better job opportunity. Mainly I have worked for foreign companies in my country. Risky? Yes. The last 1,5 years I was in Spain working, a "great risk" in hotel business.

I don't have many problems with languages, but I have never been in China...they say it is to learn, the problem is the writting.

Can I think to go somewhere, even today? Yes I can, maybe without thinking twice. Off course I have my back up in my country...Next year I will go somewhere, even if for a few months.

But I don't have ilussions about finding "happiness" somewhere. Happinesse, we have to build it inside us, no matter where we are.

RE: Is Anyone Serious Or Is This Just A Game To Everyone?

Let's go back to the serious answer.

This site is a free one, we pay nothing. It is like the most of the dating sites, including the paid ones. But every thing has its own cost and price... so as much people they have registed here as better to the owners. The space gets a higher value.

This to say, noboody does a "deep" job realizing those who are real profiles and those who are just a fake.

It is possible to create profiles from the same computer, as many as any "mad" or sick personality wants. I have made an alert.

So there are some people here postings Threads and Pools and they just answer to themselfs, with the "fake" profiles they have created and they have a vaste number of "personalities" in the forum.

With this atmosphere who can trust anybody? Then one can start understanding there is a lot of people with problems, all sort of problems, starting from real health problems to the all kind of psicological problems. I would say this is a considerable high rate and I say this from my own expirience, from the people I have been mailing with and chating with. I am not saying I am the "pure" one, I have my problems, as everybody, but...I must pray every day to the Creator.

And we must think people who come to these dating sites to try "to meet" their "soul mate", for one reason or another, they have a problem. Sometimes nothing over the "normal" just to be in a small island, a small village in the country, a foreign country, some times they are just recovering from a serious illness. And a lot are scared to face a real possibility when they see it in front of their eyes.

A lot of people they just want to meet friends and get some entretainment for the terrible desease of our days: loneliness.

But is is possible to find some good friends here as in life.

RE: Is it better to create a new thread...or to create a new poll instead?

I don't know, but I am a bit slow, maybe it is just age...

RE: Ladies why not just an honest "I'm not interested".

I always answer to everybody, including some "young" men writting some "funny" letters: I do it with all respect.

In this site as in others there are all kind of peple, just like in life and sometimes it is not easy to understand who is who.

RE: Is it better to create a new thread...or to create a new poll instead?

Can you think to do some thing else? Like studding, learning something new?

Bye for now. i have work to do. Tomorrow I will ask a question, maybe a poll, sorry I do not have time, my spine is much better now and I must do some late work.

Have a nice day.cheering
