RE: What is the use of a man in the life of a woman?

A relative of mine was a long-haul big-rig truck driver for decades. And no, she wasn't gay.......

RE: What is the use of a man in the life of a woman?

There were some interesting movies in the 1950's and beyond about societies of women only---"

1. Wild Women - 1951
2. Cat Women Of The Moon - 1953
3. Fire Maidens Of Outer Space - 1956
4. Queen Of Outer Space - 1958
5. Wild Women Of Wongo - 1959
6. SHE - 1965
7. Battle Of The Amazons - 1965

(there don't seem to be any counterpart male only movies------)

RE: What does love mean to you?

There is a middle-eastern proverb:

"The beginning of mistrust is when a wife laughs at her husband"

RE: Touch Right Here with your Filthy Fingers!

rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Touch Right Here with your Filthy Fingers!

describing male ejaculation is difficult---there's nothing to compare it to. Curiously, a few weeks ago two women in my senior singles' club asked me what it was like. (We are SO over being prissy about shit..) I told them it was sort of like "an inner glow". They both said, "kind of like what it is for us, too". I have thought about how to describe it before, and I really can't put it into words. Sometimes, it's so powerful it's uncanny. And, the mystery some sex experts talk about is how it can seem better each time. I know that in my golden years, it is less frequent, but more enjoyable. It's hard to describe the exact fireworks......dunno

There is actually a diet that recommends this -

generally, one can of drained tuna, the green beans, French Fries--said to work!

RE: mother of all bad feelings

It is said that no one can really 'understand' these kinds of things, as we are all kaleidoscopically different--but having been through the same milieu, I can, with all honesty and generosity of heart say I DO know how you felt/feel. Mega-hugs to youhug teddybear heart1

Just after someone you loved dearly passed on---and you feel you did not do or say enough, or show support enough, or you had done or said something unkind and now can't re-wind it. sigh

RE: How's The Weather Where You Are?

Absolutely GORGEOUS today. What a nice change, it had been very rainy, miserable. SO glad the sun and warmth is finally out here at the beach!!cool

RE: Just When You Thought You Have Heard It All .....

I actually understand your point. I'm just a human--and a forgiven one at that --(We are all in error ..."there is none righteous, no, not one...") So it would be remiss of me to not have some compassion seeing that Christ has compassion for me.....We DO live in a society where we must address grievous crimes and behaviors, so, mankind MUST set some rules and standards, or else it will be total chaos. Thank you for your post and seeing this in a manner that escapes many. thumbs up

I avoid creating notoriety. I'm onto a casual aspect. I know this sounds a little daft, but it would 'ruin' it for me if it were advertised, commercialized. I offer simplicity. I hope you understand.

RE: Your last meal today

I have done this about ten times now, and ...Halleluia! it works perfectly EVERY TIME:

Take the eggs you want to boil out of the refrigerator and let set at room temperature for two hours, or more. (Unlike other refrigerated products, eggs keep rather well at room temperature..) Gently set the eggs in the saucepan, but don't crowd. (It is better to make several batches than to crowd, if you want lots of eggs...) Cover with cold water, about an inch above the eggs. (Eggs must be fully covered by the water..) Bring the water to a boil, adding a big handful (two tablespoons...) of salt. (The salt won't do its job if the water is cold). Watch the uncovered boiling pan for 45 seconds. Turn burner completely OFF, cover pan, and set timer for 12 minutes. While waiting for timer, fill a large bowl with cold water. Add ice cubes, about half a tray. When timer rings, take pan off burner and gently pour out the hot water, and dump (GENTLY !) the eggs in the cold bath. Wait about 5 minutes. Those eggs will peel nicely like nobody's business!! *

*You must follow directions to a "T" for this to work.

RE: Thinking Out loud #2

Hey there--thanks for the question. Although I have played as a "guest" a few times in several bands, I almost always play solo. My instruments are acoustic - and my mainstay is "busking" (impromptu street music) during various fairs and Farmers Markets'. Tuesday evening was a private performance for a group of visiting artists at a local Air B-N-B type venue. (My profile pic shows me with an instrument)tip hat

{ I can play 'Waltzing Mathilda" !}

RE: Thinking Out loud #2

Howdy to you, as well. So, I'm in the next town over, chomping at the bit waiting until 6:00 (It's a little after 4;00...) as I have a music performance and it's not worth it to drive home and then back.....looking for some interesting threads to write in, etc....know any?laugh

RE: Would you feel safe being a cab driver in North America with no barriers whatsoever. ?

I would think being a cab driver is likely one of the most dangerous jobs--isolated, cash, someone could do a lot of damage and get away with it.....wouldn't be my idea of a great job....professor

Do you know who this really is?

RE: Just When You Thought You Have Heard It All .....

She'll be a punching bag, for sure. Inmates operate on a "your crime is worse than mine" program, and mete out the punishments they feel like doing. Often, the wards and matrons look the other way.

Yes. Might as well-----

RE: Just When You Thought You Have Heard It All .....

There seems to be a horrifying 'trend' of a parent leaving a child in a car--(often resulting in the child's death). The current annual rate averages 38. One incident, some years back, was a very busy professional woman. She was actually treated very gently by the judge. But then, she turned around and sued her employer, stating that their policy of not having a cell phone 'on' during meetings was the real cause, because had her cell phone been on, the day-care would have called to find out why the child was absent, and she would have then remembered that the child was in the car. (!!!) Another 'let's blame someone else, anyone else, for your errors...I believe the lawsuit didn't make it...(I certainly hope and pray so...) Of course this isn't the same as leaving a baby to starve. I DO think 'forgetting' your infant/toddler is in the car is an error you CANNOT make!

RE: Your last meal today

Well, certainly try it--(yes, if you didn't like it you'd be out abut $4.00...), but I think you'd like it. Another way 'round is to clarify (called 'ghee') the butter--simply heat in micro for 45 secs. The fat separates (you use the clear...) and it tastes as good as butter w/o the fat! Try.....handshake
