Hey, thanks. It seems reasonable that there would be a book binding glue. I have seen the inserts on the inside of books that they use at the library on old books but was not sure if there was a glue for the outside hard part. The book has sentimental value to me as well because I got it at a flea market in Vegas. I will check out the cement type.
Ghosts at night and shadows by day. Reflected images come into the play. Yet, it is so partly cloudy this way. This way of a life that seems so gray.
Light seems just to trickle down. Trickle so slowly to the ground. Green grass but leaves of brown. The gravel road makes not a sound.
But still in the trees the birds nest. So many acorns; Squirrels are blest. Evergreens look different from the rest. The fence is sagging but stands the test.
It is a beautiful day on haunted hill. The wind is quiet and so very still. Today, the mailman brought no bill. The shadows and ghosts are here still.
But as I look out my window I see light. And I think what a most wonderful sight. It is like an faerie dream to my delight. Misted with ghosts, shadows and bright.
Yeah, home is a more comforting place. I got a very old bible that is huge. My pastor even laughed at the size of it, lol. The binding is coming apart so I was in a Christian book store asking the clerk if their was a special kind of glue to fix it. I tried super glue, crazy glue and was even thinking of maybe duct tape. I couldn't find one of those plastic or leather covers that would fit it. One of the lady residents at the nursing home I work at told me that if I could get a pattern that she would be glad to knit a cover for me. So far I haven't found a pattern that is big enough. I like the concordance, large print and all the pretty pictures in it but I may just have to break down and buy I large print bible. I am fond of the King James version and when I go to pawn shops I am always on the look out for very old bibles. Are you using the computer that the library has or a laptop?
Do you like the booths where you can stretch out in or the chairs that you can move on better in a coffee shop. Some coffee shops the booths are so close to the table. The bar stool types can be dangerous if you lean back in them. I have had several computers since I first went online with them in 1995. My first contact with a computer was in 1984 with an old Tandy color two computer made by Radio Shack. I built my first computer that I went online with parts of an old xray machine and it was so funny cause I had it all over a kitchen table connected by wires. It was an old x286 and it was so slow, lol.
I was just able to get his classic comedy collector's series on dvd. It contains his first three shows. It was one dvd of twenty I purchased at the pawn shop close by for fifty cents a piece. The guy couldn't even sell the dvds for the asking price of one dollar a piece so I bought a bundle at half price.
They do get more curiouser and more curiouser. I know some of them are scammers but the novelty of a new scam can get interesting. In the back of my mind I know it is a scam but I am always intrigued by a new scam that I haven't seen, yet. If I was going to try to describe as a musical composition I would have to call it theme and variation. I think it the basic something for nothing scheme that has always been with us or the too true to be real scenario as well in some cases like the get rich quick schemes. My hats off to some of them and to some of them I admire their tenacity and orginality.
I think if a President declares himself as the leader of the world that he should step down as President because it would be a conflict of interest with his present position. I think it would be even in his own best interest because surely a leader of the world would be a higher paying job. Presently, I am not aware there is a position open as leader of the world.
She was real short, fat and chubby and she reminded of a Teletubby but I liked the way she called me hubby even though our house did look grubby.
She was real loud, disturbed and slow and she loved me so much I know but I have had to just let her go even though our love still grows.
She was honest, prideful and mature and I tried to understand her nature but now I see her as a great teacher even though she could really lecture.
She was a friend, confidant and lover and like her I will not find another but part of her is still with me I discover even though she is not under my cover.
She was a girl, a woman and a lady and the best thing for me, maybe but at times she drove me crazy even though her memory is now hazy.
