What I really appreciate about the LPNs being as I am a CNA is they seem to have an answer for most things. So many times when I am not sure of what to do I find myself going to them and basically asking the question like a football player of, "What do I do now coach?"
In seeing that some do actually get better has helped me from getting indifferent because sometimes it can get to be just like any other job. I don't want to get to the point of you win some you lose some.
I have found similarity with what you input with the residents I come in contact with. Even the hardest to deal with want to know what you are going to do with you. When working with our one resident Jessee the range of motion has really paid off. A person from his past came in and she even got him to talk. I was like in total shock. I didn't even know he could talk. I deal with a lot of confused people.
I was talking to one of our pregnant aides at work who has to be careful when bending over to change the residents. I told her she get paid doubletime since there are two of her working. I got a laugh out of her.
Hey good to see you back, Joanie. I had to work second shift, today. I had to get up to answer the phone. It was the only way I thought of at the time to get it to stop ringing. Man, I was sleeping good, too. My teeth weren't hurting and I finally passed out. Then the freaking phone starts ringing, lol. Oh, well it was nice to get off when I did. I got this other phone I could hook back up. It doesn't make that ringing sound. I think I will call it my sleeping phone, lol.
Don't forget that I was your friend. Don't forget to let the past mend. Don't forget that the night comes. Don't forget to let the day welcome. Don't forget that we all having feelings. Don't forget to let the daily healings.
My spirituality has a power source. It is like an electrical circuit. First there is the main power that has to be converted through the weatherhead to circuit breaker by contacts. Then its acts like alternating current going to a switch that I can turn off or on. Then it goes to a light bulb that radiates making my light shine.
What is the best way to develop a bedside manner?
