RE: Is it possible for a man to love a woman forever?

Based on personal experience, I would say "NO!" Doggone it! If it wasn't so early in the morning and I have an appointment, I'ddrink pouring wine frustrated

RE: Have fun!!!!

Thanks spicey, actually I really didn't get too down about it and I found out how terrific people can be when others are having catastrophes! I really was trying to help lighten the mood because if I can get through that and still have a great sense of humor, anybody can!thumbs up

RE: Have fun!!!!

Let's see...I was beaten with a sausage, crossed the street and got hit by a car, went home and my apartment building burned to the ground, was interviewed on the Nightly News and received 49 offers of marriage, 71 offers to be mistress and a collection taken up by homeless people for me the next day(of course I couldn't take their money). My job took up a collection for me, but in no time I was back on my feet. So, does this help lighten the mood?dunno confused

We Need To Look A Bit More Lively Minnesota People!! LOL!!

So true kurt, it seems when you're young everything feels great. You can drink yourself silly and not get sick. Now that I'm older I usually just sip champagne and only have a rum and coke once in a blue moon. Arthritis is having a field day with my back and knees, but as everyone tells me and I'm in total agreement, it beats the hell out of the alternative. The aches and pains may be there, but I'm not ready to push up daisies just yet, not by a long shot, but...oh the nostalgia for the good ole days!!drink pouring

We Need To Look A Bit More Lively Minnesota People!! LOL!!

Kurt, darling the last time I wore really high heels was when I did a bit of runway modeling 9 years ago in Baltimore, MD. I'm a bit older, and a few pounds heavier to be going that route. Sigh....old age caught up with me kurt.sigh

We Need To Look A Bit More Lively Minnesota People!! LOL!!

Well..you can't say I didn't try kurt. It was nice to keep up a fun thread, although I'm not surprised that no other people from Minnesota responded. violin

We Need To Look A Bit More Lively Minnesota People!! LOL!!

Awww..you guys are NO fun. I guess I'll just have to represent the fun people of Minnesota all by my lonesome. Oh well..I have in my youth been considered the life of the party. So, I guess I'll have to dust my rebel costume off and awaaaaaaaaay I goooooo!!yay

We Need To Look A Bit More Lively Minnesota People!! LOL!!

laugh Ya certainly did say that out loud. I heard and read ya loud and clear. Sir, you are in this here show, and don't you forget it. I'm waiting on tiger so that both of you will get to see the new outfits at the same time. Unfortunately, I realized that my high school cheerleader outfit is blue and orange, not Minnesota colors. However, I don't think anybody will notice that the colors are not Minnesota colors. So, you guys will have orange t-shirts and blue tights and for Minnesota, we'll all wear purple sneakers. For the song portion of our show, we're gonna don boas and perform, "Stop, in the name of love, before you break my heart, think it over!!" by the Supremes. You guys will be my backup singers, then you'll take center stage and sing, "Bed of Roses" by Bonjovi. So, approximately 2 weeks from today, we should be putting on our performance, so clear your calendar kurt.danceline

We Need To Look A Bit More Lively Minnesota People!! LOL!!

I'll hazard a guess and say that Tiger's probably with his children since it was Easter a little before I posted this message. I am positive that Tiger will help us multi-task by chearleading and also signing up as one of the backup singers. By the way, thanks for signing up, kurt, to also be one of the backup singers. This show is gonna be a hit, sure to keep Minnesota on the map as the Most Outrageous City to come too.rolling on the floor laughing

RE: What is the best time to say "I love u"?

H. when you mean itheart beating

We Need To Look A Bit More Lively Minnesota People!! LOL!!

Ah..now come on!! Get into the spirit of things. We're trying to get people to notice Minnesota as not just being in the middle of nowhere. So, we gotta take drastic measures. A little humiliation won't hurtcha! I'm gonna be humiliated too, I've certainly gained a few pounds since my chearleading days, but heck life's too short not to have a bit of fun. We could even call ourselves The Minnesota Comedy Players! Now get in line, I'm about to post the sign-up sheet for the backup singers.shimmy

RE: why don't we stop pretending..

Your words mesmerizer, "show me one woman just one in the whole of this wide universe, who looks at the depth of a man's soul, and not to his outside mask." That my friend is a two-way street. I read one post where a man was complaining that women posted pics on here that were taken 5 years ago and that they're probably heavier now. So, I ask you was he trying to "look at the depth of a woman's soul and not just her outside mask?" One guy sent me an email asking me to post more pics of myself and yet he hadn't posted even one pic of himself. Magazines, television, videos are a reflection of what everyone should look for when trying to find a life partner?? No, but that's the reality. Many men and women both want eye candy. The woman's personality could stink to the moon, the man could be the biggest jerk on the planet but because she looks great in a bikini and he looks great in swim trunks, that's all that matters to many. You only have to read some of these forum posts to get that loud and clear.

RE: When do romantic preferences become unrealistic expectations or even vintage intolerance?

The only physical feature that would not appeal to me is if he had to flip his thingamajig over his shoulder to carry it around, other than that, he can look as close to what quasimoto looked like and I'd probably find him adorable if he had a sense of humor, exhibited kindness and thoughtfulness. For me, it's all about the personality.cool

We Need To Look A Bit More Lively Minnesota People!! LOL!!

Guys, I was gonna do MY part and squeeze into my cheerleading outfit from high school, only I'm now a 44D cup size, well, golly gee, I guess I'll just have to stretch my little ole top all for the sake of Minnesota team spirit. So guys, if I'm willing to make the sacrifice to overload my top, then you guys can wear purple tights so that we will get all the attention we want. I'll jiggle and you guys can wiggle. cartwheel

We Need To Look A Bit More Lively Minnesota People!! LOL!!

Kurt, stop being the partypooper here. The guys cheerleader outfits will of course consist of t-shirt and tights. You will not be required to wear a skirt, kurt. I think you'd look nice in purple tights, you and tiger.dancing

We Need To Look A Bit More Lively Minnesota People!! LOL!!

Now ya see krt, tiger has the perfect solution. If we all put our heads together, we can figure out how to get you looking all neat and tidy in your new outfit and tiger since you are coming up with solutions to help krt get the Minnesota forums more attention, we need to get you fitted for your cheerleading outfit. Don't think that you're gonna be overlooked. We'll each get pompoms and I wanna see you guys work it! Our cheer will be as follows,"We love Minnesota, just because we oughta. We brave our winter's chill, then can't wait to start the grill. We welcome one and all to try some eye of wall. We're Minnesota Nice, but we have alot of ice. So be careful when you're here, keep a pair of crutches near.cheering

We Need To Look A Bit More Lively Minnesota People!! LOL!!

Now, now, krt, let's not be hasty. I'm sure that when you joined this here site, you had showered and put on deodorant, so we'll consider that NOT to be the reason that people just couldn't find it in their fingers to stay around and keep the Minnesota threads up-to-date. laugh However, I am absolutely positive that if we were to get you fitted for your new cheerleading outfit, that would bring em in in droves. Now, tell me when do you think you will have time for a fitting??....I'm waiting!! LOL!!!

We Need To Look A Bit More Lively Minnesota People!! LOL!!

Well, it's a bit after 11:00p.m. here in the midwest and I'm sipping champagne, downloading music and enjoying a quiet evening. I usually only come on here when I get an email that I have mail and I always hold out a wee bit of hope that some new messages have gotten posted in the Minnesota forum, but...sigh...alas..usually nothing new. Now people, we've got to let the world know that we're not boring. I am going to assume the role of cheerleader for our Minnesota team spirit forum.cheering Let's not have everyone thinking that Minnesota has been invaded by the bodysnatchers and that we're all walking around like zombies. We withstand extreme temperatures, both winter and summer. Our vehicles are now experiencing extreme pothole-citis. However, we are Minnesotans and we can handle it, now let's show the world what we're made of, not to mention, we're "Minnesota Nice".

RE: is anyone here?

Thanks for the warm welcome Tiger!cool

RE: looking

Ya, we're all looking for something, be it soulmate, friend, chat buddy, etc., but anyway, I truly hope you find what you are looking for!cheers

RE: MN Roll call

You said a mouthfull tiger. I'm from Virginia and I've been in Minnesota since 2002 and I haven't made a single friend since I've been here. I even joined a bowling league and that didn't help, now that people have no money and it's cheaper for me to have my "happy hour" at home, I'm now practically a homebody, but it's nice to find some kindred spirits on this site.wine

RE: is anyone here?

I just got here!dunno

RE: Whats the deal with minnesota

From what I can see(and I'm in the twin cities)many of the profiles that I've viewed from Minnesota have not been on in quite some time. There are so many dating websites in cyberspace that maybe they are busy checking the others out or like someone said in a previous post busy with problems, i.e., job loss, foreclosure, etc. I've heard that many people have cut their internet service off as they feel that it is a luxury item that is simply not needed. Don't want to put a further damper on things, but hopefully, it'll start looking up!comfort

RE: Im new and lonely and hoping to find my soul mate

Hi Rob, I'm also new, been a member for less than a week. I wish you much luck in finding that soul mate needle in this World Wide Web haystack. Keep your chin up!wave

I Can't Find Out Who The Author Is Of This Poem

The poem is as follows: "Six men trapped by happenstance in dark and bitter cold. Each one possessed a stick of wood or so the story's told. Their dying fire in need of logs, the first man held his back, for on the faces around the fire, he noticed one was black. The next man looking 'cross the way, saw one not of his church and couldn't bring himself to give the fire his stick of birch. The third man sat in tattered clothes, he gave his coat a hitch, why should his log be put to use to warm the idle rich? The rich man just sat back and thought of the wealth he had in store and how to keep what he had earned from the lazy, shiftless poor. The black man's face bespoke revenge as the fire passes from sight, for all he saw in his stick of wood was a chance to spite the white. The last man in this forlorn group did naught except for gain, giving only to those who gave was how he played the game. The logs held tight in death's still hands was proof of human sin, they didn't die from the cold without, they died from the cold within." I ran across this when I was in Baltimore, Maryland trying to get city officials to help the homeless and it has stuck with me all this time. I "tip my hat" to the author of this poem whomever he or she may be.confused

RE: obama is winning the battle

I agree!! President Obama has the sense of urgency and how to go about getting things done that this country has needed for sooo long. I watched his internet question and answer session Thursday on MSNBC and the man is soo with it and intelligent, witty and so calm, cool and collected. I just wish those buffoons in congress would stop bickering and complaining about everything he does. The republicans have some nerve in screaming about budget deficits when they practically gave Bush a blank check and President Obama inherited over a trillion dollar debt from the Bush Administration, not to mention two wars and a major global economic meltdown. Thankfully, the American people seem to get it that to pull us up out of this quagmire, it's gonna take time. It took time to get us into this mess and as the President says, we need patience and persistance. All in all, I think he's doing a wonderful job and I hope he gets to serve another term. I'll certainly be pounding the pavement on his behalf. BTW, great post!!peace
