Hon my heart goes out to you. I have had similar lovers in my life, as much as we loved them we couldn't influence them to change for the best, for their health. They don't want us to get too close because they don't want to say goodbye. My sister died at age 44 of alcohol, my dad was one and my youngest brother is an alcoholic. Thank God I don't even like the taste of any of it.

I think you are a wonderful, kind person and you arein denial of the inevitable. Your heart is so loving and kind and it must also be strong for you to do what you know you need to do. You cant help him, unless he wants help, and you deserve more of a lifetime of happiness. If he is truly a friend i would think he sincerely wants you to be happy. I wish you hope and encouragement to do the right thing and remember God made you and God don't make mistakes. He doesn't like us to make them either, although we seem to make the same ones over and over.

I know you don't know me but i see you on here and can read between your words. You are a kind person and remember that foremost. Whatever you decide i support you, however, i am more concerned about your livelihood than clinging on to a hope that may never exist. They prey on our weakness, our vulnerability, I have learned to quit telling so much about myself. Better to let them learn on their own. Sometimes they lie to avoid hurting feelings, sometimes they lie cause they have no idea how to reply and sometimes they like because well...they are just slimy snakes This includes women too, Everybody lies, and there isn't such a thing as a little white lie, like we were taught back in the day

I made the mistake of not having children and have honestly hoped to meet someone someday that would share their children with them. A happiness i have never known. You have to search your soul and see how much you love him and are you willing to accept his children. You can't try to be their mother, but you can be their best friend. Nothing wrong with expresing feelings from the heart. Dstance is a real problem but i fortunately got to go to Ireland to meet my fantasy man. Things have slowed down a lot between us but i will never regret the week u spent with him. good luck

Well everyone deserves a second chance but you need to be more aware of personality changes, moodiness, agitation, etc. I know you love him .Give him a chance to prove to you that he is clean. Althogh stealing from you may be something he might still do, so you will have to be extra cautious about your money and things. Hope everything works out for you. My past experience has been that they don't get clean, they just choose new friends and use us. Good Luck To You
