You did and it looks fabulous!! applause

RE: are the thumbs-down people positive ?

I agree thumbs up

I never noticed it until that old Irish guy made a thread about it a while back conversing

It went on and on and made me cringe, to think that a grown man felt so mortally wounded by an icon on a website.

I mean seriously roll eyes

Should dogs live in apartments?

I'm still having concerns about this sigh

Someone I know adopted a young shelter dog a few weeks back and yesterday was out socialising for 8-9 hours, the dog contained in the apartment during this time.

Owner returned to find the stair carpet ripped away from the wall; my thoughts are that the dog was stressed/anxious/bored and that this was way too long to leave the dog alone, considering its age, unknown background and settling into new environment.

I personally feel it's too long for any dog that has no access to the outdoors.

dunno

RE: Happy Eid

Thanks Ali, and the same to you hug gift

Say Anything part 2

Please post factual evidence around this, it would make for an interesting discussion thumbs up

RE: Thread # 2 improved

Not a lot Ali conversing

Just to shop, prepare meals, do the dishes, take out the trash, clean the house, do the school run, assist with homework etc etc

RE: Are you comfortable with Goths ?

Hi Gothsonny

I'm wondering whether you will get the responses you seek on the forums as most people are senior aged, 50s to 70s and beyond, and may not have had a great deal of experience with Goth culture conversing

At the same time though, I believe there's a place for all of us in this world, regardless of our age, religion, culture, lifestyle etc.

I wonder whether you have sought out other Goth people, particularly around your own age, and would interested to hear your comments if so handshake

RE: First Date

I'm sorry this happened to you Doxie, it appears this woman is a user but you weren't to know that handshake

I say good for you for stepping out and giving dating a shot, and hope this experience doesn't dampen your enthusiasm hug

RE: How does suffering make you a better person?

Hi Ken and thank you hug

I arrived in this country over sixty years ago, a British child with fair skin.

I frolicked on the beach after school and onward through my teenage years, we would slather ourselves in coconut oil and basically fry in the sun, but boy, did we have a great tan help

Absolutely no education around sun protection so many of us are paying the price now.

In fact, my understanding is that our northern neighbours in the tropical state of Queensland record more deaths from skin cancer than road accidents.

Thank you for sharing your journey with me, it's much appreciated hug

RE: How does suffering make you a better person?

I completely agree with you Miss.

I join you in your cancer battle as I underwent invasive melanoma surgery in 2020 and attended a skin cancer clinic for 3 monthly skin checks for twelve months afterwards, which was then reduced to six monthly checks.
My last one revealed a concerning mole which I had excised on Wednesday; it's a little uncomfortable at present but I'm feeling optimistic that pathology results will show a good result.

I personally find Pedro's threads a little flippant, probably drawing from internet searches while under the influence of alcohol rather than life experience.

While he has shared his mental health journey on here, which is to be applauded, I often find his threads self indulgent and self pitying.

Wishing you all the very best for your own journey Miss and send you hugs and positivity

hug
